Guest Magdalena
One for the memory. My friends and I used to sing this at the tops of our voices while out on the road in my Vitara with the roof down lol. The lyrics have no reflection on my life today, just love the track and been listening to it today in my car lol.
Aloe
This song isn't the type of music I usually listen to but I love the state of mind it puts me in. I can't help but love a song that includes, angels, voodoo men, ritual fertility, secret sins, seduction and fantasy. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=6CLN-2hwvBg"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CLN-2hwvBg"]http://www.youtube.c...h?v=6CLN-2hwvBg

You probably were into post-punk? I am still discovering bands from that time as I missed out on much of the scene then.FFFFElf

Dave Vanians was always quite eccentric though, but was with the band throughout. `Machine Gun Etiquette` was the vinyl album I played over and over. My most favorite ;)

Aloe
I was listening to this song this morning, it very accurately describes a time I went through about 10 years ago. Its amazing to look back on that and see how damaging it is to deny what you are. Lyrics: Oh look at how she listensShe says nothing of what she thinksShe just goes stumbling through her memoriesStaring out on to Grey Street. She thinks, "Hey, how did I come to this?"I dream myself a thousand times around the worldBut I can't get out of this place. There's an emptiness inside herAnd she'll do anything to fill it inBut all the colors mix together - to greyAnd it breaks her heartHow she wishes it was differentShe prays to God most every nightAnd though she swears it doesn't listenThere's still a hope in her it mightShe says "I pray oh But they fall on deaf ears,am I supposed to take it on myself? To get out of this place? "Oh There's a loneliness inside herAnd she'll do anything to fill it inAnd though it's red blood bleeding from her nowIt feels like cold blue ice in her heartWhen all the colors mix together - to greyAnd it breaks her heartThere's a voice outside her doorSays take what you can from your dreamsMake them as real as anythingOh It'd take the work out of the courageBut she says "PleaseThere's a crazy man that's creeping outside my door,I live on the corner of Grey Streetand the end of the world."Oh there's an emptiness inside herAnd she'll do anything to fill it inAnd though it's red blood bleeding from her nowIt's more like cold blue ice in her heartShe feels like kicking out all the windowsAnd setting fire to this lifeShe could change everything about herUsing colors bold and brightBut all the colors mix together - to greyAnd it breaks her heartIt breaks her heartTo Grey

Aloe
Aloe, this song was my anthem for sometime.. Amazing how some art/prose/verse speaks to the core.. It certainly is. I used to this song all the time, the color references were especially relevant for me because during the dark "grey" time I couldn't paint.
