--------------------------- Hi Arannis, Just my thrupence worth of pub wisdom but... I'd say try it out and see where you go..Nothing gives better understanding than direct experience rather than taking anothers word for it. In my experience working with Runes is that there really is no need to reverse any of them, there are enough runes for every situation. However to focus the mind reversing may help, but would not be tapping into the force behind the said Rune per se. For example Fehu (cattle) is the rune of wealth, so wealth exists in the material..To reverse that would = lack of wealth or poverty which does not exist in and of itself, it being merely a lack of Fehu. So to reverse the Fehu rune would of course aid the mind if the intent was causing financial strains on someone but would not be drawing on the power inherent in the Rune if that makes sense. Likewise for say Isa (ice), you could reverse it with intent to thaw out a situation, but in terms of Rune power Sowilo (sun) would be the Rune of choice to warm up the ice... So imo (and its only my opinion based on my experiences) The Runes are active powers in and of themselves, I see no need to and hence dont reverse them in use...To reverse may aid focus but usually would be more an aid to divination (which I personally dont think the Runes purpose was for originally anyway). I may be proved wrong though...
