  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
I began practicing in earnest at 13 or 14.
  • Have you explored other paths?
I'm interested in all pathways of magic and culture, to read up on and not practice anyway. You can find wisdom in the strangest places if you keep an open mind. Will curiosity kill the cat? We'll see!
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
For quite a while yes, always exploring and trying to expand my skills. I'm far more experienced with the American forms of the true Craft.....
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
The witch makes the craft. Tradition is a living, breathing thing, created by us daily, not something we blindly follow. The Path is ultimately the great teacher, and I can aspire to nothing higher.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
    21 years.
  • What brought you to our site?
A desperate internet search for sanity.
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
Perspective and good conversation with kindred souls!
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
    Not anymore....
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
    Sorcery
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
    Divination.

  1. Congrats on the certifications! Which program are you studying? You seem to have a very good working knowledge. Well done! Astrology is a difficult subject to master, that's for sure! :D

    WTF?

I think Onyx is right, I can see that now after she mentioned it. +1
  3. I have a friend who does rescue work with abused dogs, and the CBD chewies work a treat! Definitely worth trying, I think.
  4. I live in between, on a farm outside of the rapidly encroaching city. Moving back to the city soon, though. I do miss it. As far as supplies go, there isn't much that I haven't been able to get my hands on, one way or another. You just have to know the right people. :D
  5. Ghost - I gave one book to a friend, and Connolly seems to be his jam, and he gets results, so idk...
  6. Ah, I completely failed to make my point. I hate pecking away with one hand. You don't need to defend genres or authors. I know a ton of authors that are witches, whom I respect, and don't wish to offend. However, with some of what this lady does, I get the strong impression that she writes edgelord-style occult fiction. I've read small bits of her work, and decided it's not for me. Some people think she's great, though. The world would be quite dull if we all had the same flex. I'd love to hear that the impression I have gained over time is in all ways incorrect, but so far? Nah.
  7. In lieu of using seven day candles, I've been using antique hurricane glass lanterns for my candle work. The glass doesn't crack, so they're less of a safety hazard, plus, nothing gets thrown away. If I need to chuck something at the crossroads to complete the working, I just use the candle nub. Also, for city dwellers, a friend of mine teaches that cross streets are indeed crossroads. So if you live in the city, find an active one, and use the public waste receptacles!
  8. I'll have a sit down picnic at the graveyard and see if anyone else wants to come. Otherwise I'll be content to chill and sip calamus-infused wine with the dead.
  9. Amongst her pursuits, she writes fiction AND romance. I recall wondering why she would want to call 30 demons in 30 days, for no reason. She seems a fake. It was just one of her challenges. I give her a hard pass.
  10. You'll find the same with so many occult texts. My advice is....you see something you want, definitely buy it if you can! I looked around a bit for this as well for you, and with no better luck.
  11. The only thing that springs to mind is the lore about babies being carted off by the Gentry and being switched with one of their own. A wee bit hard to believe, though, don't you think?
  12. I thought I recalled reading something, somewhere, but even using Irish Google and a number of folklore search engines, the only mention I could find was from the same site you've already looked at. My efforts were not exhaustive, but it doesn't look like there is much out there on this person, at all, in digitized form. Let us know if you are able to find out more.
  13. Quoting to reiterate these points. I could not hope to elucidate what LdyShallot has said more succinctly or eloquently. I remember when he was talking a huge mess against a friend of mine. When he found out who she was, he begged her forgiveness and asked her to not curse him. Not that she was so petty, because she isn't. I would bid those who don't know his history to examine it because he has not changed. But he is charming, and projects a nice veneer of intellectualism . I wouldn't have one of his books in my house.
  14. I really can't imagine anything easier to grow, and I am not a skilled gardener. When I lived in my old house in the city, it grew between my house and the next, with very little sun exposure, as the area was shaded by huge evergreen trees. It required literally nothing at all, and self-propagated. I'd just go out and pick some from time to time, dry it, and use it as a mild sedative tea when needed, and of course the kitty got her fair share. The area had some outdoor cats as well, and it did just fine, nonetheless!
  15. No worries and no apologies needed!
