Most witches work so closely with all kinds of energies, whether it's their own or drawn from somewhere else. Some believe the human body is like a battery and the energy that builds up has to go somewhere. But where does that residual energy go when the witch dies? Or when anybody dies? I know that some believe we return to the Earth, and our energy dissipates? But does it? Are we bound to this Earth or are there other planes of existence that our energies can traverse? Like an in-between? It's probably been asked before, but I thought this would be an interesting discussion , just to see what other people's thoughts on the subject would be.

Once I found out the Viking might be leaving, I knew I would have to find someone new to carry the charm. Naturally, this stressed me out. However, it being solstice weekend, and with things going all too well on other fronts (such as my love life, which turned out to be a handful of mashed up dead leaves aka faerie gold 😕), I whispered my need to the spirit of the store and knew it would be taken care of. (The masks are great for things like this, ya know?) For the sake of privacy, we'll go with the names I created for the people helping me carry the energy of the ward = The Warrior, The Viking, BB Witch, and now The Guardian of Produce, who I'll call GP, for the sake of brevity. Oh snap. Not two hours later, one of my friends pulled me aside. "He said he put a love spell on me, that was the day I met Boyfriend! He just confessed he practices magick... I think GP is the one to carry Viking's charm! You should ask him..." Skip ahead. I made GP a new charm, from dragon's blood ink and charcoal. The first tip off was when he got really excited, wanting to know every way he could help. I told him who the other people were, and walked him around the store to know the locations of the charms for the ward. He said he would connect with the Viking and find out the deets on the center charm. That night, I was awoken twice to hear his true name in my head. The first thought in my brain? Oh what? It isn't a fluke? -- Previously to this, I had only energetically connected to the Warrior in a similar manner. The Warrior is the only one who doesn't want to be involved beyond lending his energy, and that's valid, so I never mentioned it to him. Over the course of conversation with GP last night, I realized why I never connected with Viking and BB Witch, and why their connections seem so "dead". It's because they not only lied about wanting to be involved, but they also don't believe in the ward, and are just playing around with things they don't understand. They were placeholders, until their charms could be passed on to people who weren't ready yet. My spirits confirmed that BB Witch is a liar, and GP's conversation with Viking came out, proving that the Viking simply does not care and just pays lip service (and is a bit afraid of me, which is sad). Nevertheless, even with their lack of connection, the ward has held. No one at the store has gotten the virus. For a shop right next to the airport, where everyone from the Lower 48 comes (they don't enforce quarantine here, and customers hardly wear masks), that's pretty amazing. As for what to do with BB Witch and the Viking's charms, GP suggested my friend(BB Bat) take BB Witch's. She knows about the ward and has started her Path recently. He's also in love with her which may or may not have influenced his suggestion, so I asked my ancestors and they said "she must be ready. It must happen soon." They also suggested someone else to carry the Viking's charm, but as for that one... I don't know. I ask him for protection when I have to check on the ward, through our shared psychic connection, but we hardly ever speak to one another. Yet he hears me, for on those days he always is around me, as though by his presence he is protecting me from unseen dangers (that's his mundane job, to top it off, lol). Where to go from here? Well, who can say? All I know is that this is the reason I was meant to stay at the store, and that since leaving my ex the unseen has come to my aid more times than I can count. And I have paid it back, by becoming the witch I was always supposed to be. Somewhere in the past, time loops. The me that came before, she did a ward like this one. But I don't think she had enough help. I think she died, trying to hold back the dark all alone.

Hi y'all, so I've been wondering about this for a while. My path is my own and your path is your own, but what do you actually think about what actually happening here? My personal point of view is how the energy is something really fundamental and universal. Witches in different areas work in different way and understanding things different way but everything comes back to how your intention shifting how the energy flow in this natural order. A lot of Asian view is concerning of the elements and chakra or something related to how spirits works in general. I mostly work in this area because concerning several different reason: 1. I am Asian believing and studying in western witchcraft point of view (mostly because my lack of knowledge in my own Asian tradition, the usual language barrier) 2. The differences between how the natural resources between my country and where you practice 3. The holidays in my country, the traditional one cannot be related to how the 8 holidays in western witch mostly because of differences in season. 4. My belief where traditionally people try to connect with their nature or ancestral point of view mostly concerning with their senses and how they view the world. 5. I found the similarities between language and witchcraft in general, how the differences in way of thinking by people speaking in different languages. (There are actually a lot of experiments observing how people behaving while using another language) So what is your personal thoughts on that, I need a guidance in how actually it works. Is limiting your belief in only energy could helps you in your path? Or is there any other path that is universal that I can try to follow without having to thing what is the consequences of having to live in different part of the world?

So I have 2 dried mango seeds. One day I had a hunger for mango, this is a craving I have never had. I dont hate mango, I have just never thought "damn i could really go for a mango right now." But i digress. After i ate them i was left with the strong urge to save them. Something told me to save them and one day i will need them. I have been trying to find info on the magical uses for it, but no real luck. Its a seed so it is clearly a symbol of new life, new beginnings. They traditionally come from warmer, more tropic climates, so it also symbolizes happiness and warmth. Just wondering if there is a piece of folklore out there, or something that the internet isnt showing me. Something told me to save it. So i have, and will. They are fully dry now, in a glass jar, on the shelf with all my other witchy goodies. But i was hoping someone knew something.

There is this shop that has a problem, more than a customer reported a strange feeling when they walk alone in the basement and two of the guys working there can swear to have seen something like a vapor that comes together with unpleasant feelings. One of the salesmen knows me and my craft, so he talked with the manager and both called me and tried not to be too ashamed taking about "ghosts". I have been there until closure and helped around for cleaning (actual physical cleaning, with brushes and soap... XD) and it happened to see that shadow. I cannot say yet if this is an evil spirit or some other negative energy but they still complain and maybe it is true that it shouldn't be there anyway. They asked me to cleanse the shop but they also pretended me to do that on the spot, that night, giving me a tealight recycled from last party. I had to explain that this is not the way it works... is not like a cheap feng shui. I told them I can work when the shop is closed but anyway there is a ritual to organize and perform. This week I will prepare everything and close the tools in a box, ready for the ritual whenever these people will take it seriously.

Hey everyone, Serious question here. I've heard different views on masturbation and its effect on personal energy. Some sex magic workings tout the benefits of daily self-love, while other paths seem to view it as an unnecessary depletion of some kind of personal energy reserve. I'm wondering what your personal views or experiences are with this topic. Thanks in advance!

Here in the Uk we are waiting Storm Ophelia (previously a Hurricane) but will be a storm by the time it gets here. This photo shows the sun in my home city , it apparently is this colour from dust from the Sahara. I live in a Welsh valley you can see what it's like. Right at this minute I have a pull within me especially within my stomach telling me to get out in nature I can almost feel energy running through my body almost like electricity. Do you feel sensations like this from the weather? I feel like standing on top of the mountain arms raised and welcoming the storm, I feel powerful work can be done at these times. Apologies I have no idea why that image is upside down, I don't know how to amend it , I have tried.

So, yesterday I bought my first tarot deck. Tarot has never been something I've been really interested in, but the artwork on this particular deck was pretty amazing. Anyways, as I was waiting to purchase my items, this other customer - a very young, naive, 20 yr old who was making a spectacle of himself the moment he came into the store - grabbed my deck. At first, I thought he was just taking a closer look at the artwork on the box (he was also buying a tarot deck), but then he laid his hands on my deck and 'bestowed a gift of his energy' onto my deck without even asking!!! I was so shocked that I didn't even know how to respond to him! It was a little scary watching how lost he was; he kept talking over other customers, interrupting their questions to the clerk. At one time he even asked the gal working to tell him 'what path he should be on'. He was a total mess. I would really love some advice on how to cleanse my deck of this person's energy. I've never had to do something like this before and assume it will require a little more effort than a simple cleanse under normal circumstances. Any advice would be truly grateful!

My doggie has been coughing since Thursday. She's been to the vet and was diagnosed with a collapsed trachea, which is common in little dogs. Any energy you can send would be great; I just want her to be comfortable. Thanks!

My fiancé gave me one of these for Christmas: http://www.lifeenergysolutions.com/pe-bal/ It's supposed to generate a positive energy field of 18 metres, and is intended to be used for "space clearing and energy harmonisation", among other things such as protection from EMF radiation. I can feel a strong buzz of energy coming from it when I hold it or put my hands near it without touching it. Have any of you used products like this before? What do you think of them?

There are A LOT of different perceptions of reality among people, but I think we can all agree that there is energy in the universe - and that an essential component of witchcraft involves somehow invoking/manipulating/controlling/etc. this energy. Being an atheist and a huge Terry Pratchett fan - although I have no belief in any sort of "origin" deity(ies) - I have wondered whether it is possible for the strength of cumulative belief to manifest as some sort of entity that could be perceived as a god or other sort of "supernatural" being. Do humans literally create their own gods? (I will leave this here - the topic is well-covered in the "Universal Energy or God" thread (here: http://www.traditionalwitch.net/forums/topic/62-universal-energy-or-god/)). Given this concept, does anyone have any knowledge/experience of - or any attempt to contact - "Santa"? Of course, I do not mean the jolly, red-nosed modern icon of consumerism - but something older, more primal - representative of the mid-winter trials and celebrations of life. I think of him (if indeed it is a "him") as "Father Christmas" - something older and more steeped in the primal energies of eking life out of a dying winter world. Of course, The Hogfather is the Discworld version of Santa/Father Christmas, and I have often wondered how close he may really be to actuality. Terry Pratchett would also point out - "the very oldest stories about the beginning are, sooner or later, about blood" - seems very logical for this particular entity - thoughts on whether he would be dangerous? I'm thinking of leaving offerings - no requests for anything, just gifts - just because. (Also got me thinking - it was mentioned on another thread (http://www.traditionalwitch.net/forums/topic/7879-etiquette-and-working-with-non-physical-entities/) how someone's xtian friend felt abandoned by God because she had prayed for her cancer-stricken mother's health and her prayers went "unanswered" - but when asked what else (besides pray) she did, the answer was "nothing". Kind of funny that most xtians offer not even a ritual sacrifice to their god in exchange for their wants (excepting maybe churchgoers who tithe), but fork over the milk and cookies every year for the Jolly Fat Man so they can get presents! )
