  • Birthday September 7

Converted

  • Gender
    Canine
  • Location
    Avebury, Wiltshire
  • Interests
My work, flute, acting, archery, falconery.
  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
I'm immersed in it everyday. I have close friends who are High Priests, Priestesses and Druids, I have practiced the craft since 14. I'm particularly interested in metaphysical and traditional Witchcraft, Alchemy. I attend moots, opens and Moon Circles; though an earth rather than deity spirit.
  • Have you explored other paths?
Theologies of other faiths. Full spectrum living and Chaos magick. I have no interest in Satanism or irresponsible magick.
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
Yes, as mentioned energy raising (self and group) divination; particularly scrying, runes. Working knowledge of candlemagic, spellcasting though they are not my main interest. I'm a strong empath. I follow the path of a Shaman.I'm referred to as a Journeyman by others.
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
I'm a hereditary, on both blood lines.
Herbalism, spellcraft and divination. An integrated harmony with the elements. Not a Gardnarian, though now interested in Crowley's interests and tradition (they discovered much). A traditional Witch is one who uses magic that works by tapping into the ether...and that is never fixed or static, grow with your skills, as the energies around us do. Not tied to ceremonies and doctrine for the sake of it. Our needs change, so do our tools, techniques and connection to the elements.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
Spiritually since taught as a youth. Raised by a 'Traditional' Grandmother. Taught me the craft, but disguised it.
Currently 4 years continuous. As a fine artist I live in the world of Shamanic imagery, this largely escaped the purge of the church. The power of symbols and images is my forte.
  • What brought you to our site?
I can't take the Merry Meet, Blessed be's more than a few sessions a week. I see nothing wrong with eating meat or cutting down a tree. Witch craft is a serious life choice, not a tree hugging sanctuary for kitten/puppy lovers. There are other places to enjoy that. A focussed mind with intent is needed not a soft heart...sorry about that rant.
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
An adult outlook based on practice of the craft, rather than the google trollers and armchair Witches. I practice metaphysical witch craft through the powers of the mind, I intend to demonstrate more of our powers, much unlocked, to be real and accessible. The Craft is moving forward, I think we should share it's discovery and new fruits as a collective.
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
Yes: The White Goddess, The Cauldren (closed facebook group) Chaos Magick (closed facebook group) Temple Illuminatus, facebook (most friends are Pagans/Witches)
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
Divination, empath, energy raising, spell casting.
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
Candle-magic, ceremonies...it's not really my thing sorry.
  • Additional Information.
For me, that I don't fit a mould. I read and study and work...and still the sea of what I don't know stretches out further into the distance. I share skills with witches, shamans, magicians and gnostics...but what is a traditional witch?

  1. I get frustrated with the addiction to tradition for its own sake. Odd thing to say on here, I don't mean things that work or fundamentals, I mean doing something merely because it is tradition (or thought to be). That goes for plenty of the paraphernalia, clothes etc. as well. For me a witch should look like anyone else (with practical exceptions of course) and be prepared to use new tools and materials. Or am I just odd?
  2. You got: Red Aura Your aura is red. You thrive in exciting situations and are quick to fall in love and lust. Spontaneous, passionate, and energetic, you tend to follow your heart, even when it leads you to the wildest, untamed places. Though you occasionally act immature, you only mean to make yourself and others happy.
  3. HIM: Buried alive by love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO2DUDKmaEk Not sure how you get the YouTube window?
  4. Re-read this Startella, a couple of years back I think. I knew what you meant, and I agree...but didn't really understand how I fitted in? I was brought up by my Grandmother...who taught me many things but not witchcraft? But I was wrong her and her mother were traditionals, and big ones once I learned enough to spot the 'craft' recently: Midwives, first called to the dying, groups meeting regular, herbs potions on high shelves, lanterns and candles, secret books and 'visitors' on a regular basis. But in their time...it was different, a very secret world. I know all the things you talk about but it didn't know the 'modern' names. Found out on my maternal side as well...yep, my mother... found out just last week after 20years in the dark. It is in your blood, I've always known what I could do and never knew why? And it's so natural I just do it. I may not know the 'terms' and 'names' but I have the natural ability. How many more out there like me? It's like a great darkness has lifted, I'm so proud now of who and what I am.
