Avid outdoorsman, sociable, love to read,
  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
I have been getting lost along the way for quite a while now. New answers open new doors and only make the maze that much more complex.
  • Have you explored other paths?
You name it I have at the very least brushed up on it.
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
    Why yes of course!
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
An infinitely accommodating way of life.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
For quite some time, if I had to put a number on it I would say nine or ten years (this includes all paths magical).
  • What brought you to our site?
Good old Google and a desire for knowledge and good company!
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
I expect nothing less than a bunch of witches!
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
    Not any longer.
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
I am not one to shy away from the hedge.
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
Plants and Herbs are a constant area of study.
  1. If I might borrow from the reasoning of Crowley, amongst others, any ejaculation not intended to impregnate might be viewed as a sacrifice. While I would agree that semen has a more "creative" nature than menstrual blood, I would also think that such a sacrifice of potential has a certain undertone of darkness to it. I believe in some circles ritual ejaculation of this sort is even referred to as child sacrifice. Alternatively, as you note, an ejaculation in a moment of duress, torment or terror would also have a darker nature. As you have noted such emissions seem to only be available as the products of dangerous acts or despicable acts. As such they are not readily available nor condonable. It would be my opinion that merely intending the emission be a "waste" is dark enough for most applications. I have often thought that sexual ritual between a man and a women who is currently menstruating would be a near perfect example of this and would produce a rather unique set of traits to boot.
  2. I would go as far as to say that the blood from a man is very different than the blood from a women (non-menstrual). I don't mean one is better than another, only that they are different. While they both work, sometimes certain applications may be better served with the blood of a particular sex.
  3. I think a fairly convincing case can be made that the Old Hag is different from an Incubus or Succubus. While the Old Hag seems to be thoroughly unpleasant, some accounts of Incubi and Succubi seem to convey pleasure (though quite often they are unpleasant).
  4. This reminded me of the Romanian gypsies cursing the Romanian government to stop austerity measures.
  5. To Aloe no I have not experienced an attack of this kind, though I have had sleep paralysis. I am drawing on my own research and the accounts of a friend who frequently wakes up unable to move and see snakes, spiders, crabs, octopuses, and sometimes people standing over her around her on the ceiling etc.. I apologize if you felt I was trying to equate sleep paralysis to something much more. My understanding of the phenomena (mostly through what doctors have told my friend) is that while many people get sleep paralysis and wake up unable to move sometimes they experience much more. Sleep paralysis is caused (in my understanding) when you wake up but processes from deep sleep don't turn off immediately like they usually do. As I said in my previous post the paralysis is to keep you from hurting yourself while you sleep. While it is much more common for people to experience paralysis by itself, for some, even more processes don't turn off (hopefully this is also answering your question Abraxia Thalgus). Less commonly peoples subconscious is fully active and images and sensations more at home in a dream state or nightmare may manifest in waking reality as both sides of the mind are active at once. I personally think think this explains things in a quite plausible Jungian sense. In Jung's conception of Archetypes he noted that there was one called Daemon. The characteristics of this entity where: "Philemon and other figures of my fantasies brought home tome the crucial
insight that there are things in the psyche which I do notproduce, but which
produce themselves and have their own life." From accounts I have read and heard these attacks can be quite harrowing. Should portions of our subconscious have the characteristics of the Daemon (though quite a bit less beneficial than the Daemon Jung is specifically referring to in that passage) and should they manifest in our waking reality, I find it quite plausible that it could account for at least a portion of the phenomena. It may even explain some of the similarity in accounts as we all have similar or even the same Archetypes. Sorry if I came on all sciencey.
  6. I know that in many cases the paralysis is caused by the conscious mind becoming active while the subconscious is still completely active. Essentially the conscious brain has woken up to early. The paralysis is part of a natural process where the brain disallows movement for the most part, generally in REM sleep. This is to prevent the body from acting out all the craziness that goes on in our dreams. Since your subconscious is active it is common to hallucinate during this period as essentially dream images are transposed on waking reality. Whether you see vivid images may be dependent on the current activity in your brain. During REM sleep one side of brain is active at a time and this switches back and forth. Dreams typically begin during the switch from one side to the other and a veritable firestorm of electric activity occurs in the brain. The peculiar thing about this phenomena is the similarity in experiences (which has spawned the Old Hag legend). My personal theory is that for some people the Pineal gland is stimulated during the switch from one side of the brain to the other. The Pineal gland produces a compound called DMT which is an extremely powerful hallucinogenic. In lab testing, subjects who have been administered a synthetic dose of DMT overwhelmingly reported that they could not move, people or entities or aliens where standing over them or holding them down. The Pineal gland in itself is extraordinarily interesting and has been coined as the "seat of the soul" and the third eye".
  7. Well I suppose to shut the case, the official answer is: Does 'da' mean yes if and only if you are True if and only if B is Random? A few alternatives may be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hardest_Logic_Puzzle_Ever
  8. Getting close! Your on the right track, you just need to add two qualifiers to determine who is which letter and who is random as random might be in true mode.
  9. The solution is almost hard to say out loud haha
  10. As Magdalena has pointed out you may only ask one god. I hate to be the bearer of bad news Tana but you may have to start over if your basing on your previous two god attempt. Sorry for the false hope somehow I missed that. The guy who wrote this must be frustrating to debate against haha.
  11. While Random's name is somewhat misleading, you must consider that the coin flip dictates whether he will lie or tell the truth. Therefore if the coin flip favors truth he will truthfully answer your question. If the coin flip favors lies he will lie. So his answer is not completely random insofar that you may be able to determine his state of mind in your question (Mega hint!).
  12. A, B, and C are in no particular order and we don't know who is who. The true test of the riddle is to determine who is who. You need to add at least one qualifier to you line of questioning that will link the answers to the correct letter. Your close!
  13. While it appears you are correct and you logic is sound (I have never seen a solution where True is isolated by not being able to answer), you are only halfway finished... Who is A, who is B, and who is C? Mwhahahahaha....
  14. It is incredibly difficult and there are a few different questions that will work. If no one gets it in a week or something I'll post the answer.
