I have searched the forums and couldn't see any topic matching this, so forgive me if it's already been discussed (happy to delete or move if moderators see fit)…
I was wondering...
For those of you who see spirits / ghosts / demons / energy etc
Whatever it is that you may see, HOW do you see them? As in how do they appear to you as an individual?
Do they appear as physical beings that look as real as you or me? Or do you see outlines? Shadows? See through characters?
Do they speak directly to you? Or do you guess at what they might want to say?
Can you call upon them to visit you, or do you have no choice as to when they may appear?
The first time you saw one, what happened? How did you make initial contact?
Sorry for the many, many questions, but I am genuinely interested in how each person experiences something like this.
I would like to share my own personal experiences via this chat too, however rather than have any replies or comments related to those experiences just yet, I'd love to hear some of your own experiences first.
Thanks for reading.

Are these wild injured animals or people's pets?
I should also say - and maybe my original comment wasn’t clear, that I would never just take blood from an animal for no other reason than my own use. Any blood I use is “left over” from blood testing in order to diagnose and treat their condition.

Ha ha, that’s one way to get rid of them!!
I don’t try to ram my beliefs down anyone’s throat so I really don’t like it when others try to “save me”

I recently looked in to my DNA ancestry and that got me to researching witches from the regions that came up...
Do any of you know of famous witches or traditional Irish / Russian / Scandinavian witchcraft practices? So far, Baba Yaga has been the most common search result...
I found out that I am mostly Ulster Irish (like 98%!!) I was kind of disappointed to be honest, I think I wanted a more interesting mix..., but also partly northwest Russian, and partly Scandinavian...
More interestingly, have any of you looked in to your ancestry? Have you discovered anything cool?

Interested to know if anyone has ever done this with any success?

You are a true-romantic, a dreamer and an idealist. You have great faith and seldom waiver in your convictions. You believe in people and trust in their goodness. You are a very sweet person who always hopes for the best and believes that it will happen.

Newsflash - you're a witch.
This has been a really interesting thread to read through...
I am O-, born to an A+ father and O- mother...
My mum is super psychic, but doesn’t really embrace it... she has always had an interest in angels though...
I wouldn’t say I’m psychic, more of an empath, I can read people.
I have blue eyes with a black ring around them. They change colour a lot from dark denim when I am emotionally “unaroused” to light / white blue when I am sad or angry...
Neither of my children inherited my blood type (they are both A+ like their father and show no traits of magic / witchcraft as yet)...
I do like to think I am the distant daughter of an angelic being mating with a daughter of man... but then again who wouldn’t like to think that!!!
I keep it secret too, there are far too many haters where I live and I would hate to have prayer groups turn up outside my house in order to “save” my soul...
It happens here more than I am comfortable with.

Love the simplicity, no fanfare just down to business!
I don’t like to overcomplicate things ????

True. We are fragile little vessels really!

I wonder if having to be resuscitated does indeed alter us in some way... it’s an interesting thought, and I can say for sure that I haven’t been the same since it all happened...

I see them constantly when I am writing creatively or having a lot of ideas around writing. I don't know if this is a personal symbol or if others have found it, but they definitely relate to voice for me - having a voice, expressing verbally and in writing etc. I don't see them as unlucky (I don't really see any animal as unlucky though), but I do always greet them. I definitely don't see them as signifying a curse, but wondered if you might have personal reason to feel this? They are actually very special to me, my other online name is Magpie. There are a couple who live in my garden or the neighbouring one, they actually moved in when my ability to write returned after a couple of years of utter nothingness. So, for me, a very good omen indeed. One other thing they represent to me is knowing myself, that might sound a bit weird, but many people have misinformation about Magpies so, often, the birds they actually are compared to what people believe is different. They remind me to tell my own truth and my own story, to look at my actual self, and know what is within me - not be swayed by others' views of me. I hope that makes sense? It might be irrelevant because it is quite a personal one, but thought I'd share it in case it helps.

Thank you for this!
Sometimes I am the sort of person that just really needs the obvious to be explained to them!
I literally see one (only ever one) pretty much everywhere I go, and I have had a bit of a run of bad luck recently which has probably just ate in to my insecurities which then lead on to me thinking "am I cursed", however - when I think rationally about it, I haven't pissed anyone off (that I know of), so no one should have any reason to place any curses on me...
When you write about them representing knowing yourself that has immediately struck a chord with me, I am going through a bit of a personal journey this year (after almost dying twice) and when you write about "telling my own truth and my own story, to look at my actual self, and know what is within me" it all makes perfect sense.
Thank you for this and now every time I see one I will absolutely be mindful of my true self and my own story!
You are a bit of a genius xx

For the past 6 weeks or so any time I leave my house or go to different destinations I keep seeing 1 magpie - only ever 1. This is unusual as they are more often found in pairs.
When I am stopped in traffic on my way to work. There’s always one outside my car - no matter the place I’ve stopped...
When I walk the dog, head out of a shop, take the kids for a walk etc etc - always there appears one magpie at some stage of my journey...
I know the old rhyme “one for sorrow, two for joy etc” and I am beginning to think I’ve had a curse put on me or that this is a message of some bad luck that’s about to befall me...
Has anyone any other explanation for this? Or has anyone else experienced something like this?
I always make a point of saying hello to the magpie and giving him the traditional “salute and asking after his family”....
Side note - I did call out to the Morrigan a while ago... but I thought she always sent crows, so I’m not sure if that has any relevance, but thought I should add it in...

I love this thread!
I absolutely know for sure that this happens.
I’ve had a few experiences of this happen to me this year.
One was only a few weeks ago... I make and sell goat milk soap, a woman approached my stall (we had set up at a small fayre in a little mountain village here in Ireland), she asked a lot of questions and bought some soap then casually commented on the fact that my ingredients must have come from a “witches garden”, I am a massive grower of herbs etc, she then winked at me, gave me a huge knowing smile and went on her way. I loved it.
Not everyone is so warm and welcoming of the lifestyle over here...
Some Churchy folk seem to be able to sense it in me (I look or dress nothing like a “stereotypical witch”) and they actively avoid me or just seem afraid...

I just read this and thought you might like a reply...
I think spell casting is a personal and individual thing, go with your gut and do some research... look up which herbs are good for protection, crush them in to a carrier oil and dress a candle, build your energy, “feel” the spell coming from within you and when that ball of energy is there and the words come, light that dressed candle and pour out your magic.
That’s cool! Wonder if it really works!

Just throwing my own two cents in here as I adore blood magic and know it adds a certain “boom” to spells - but use with caution...
I always use fresh flowing blood (my own, I find it to be the most beneficial for my work), or, for certain types of spell I will use blood that I’ve collected from an animal that I will then go on to save or to put to rest peacefully and end it’s suffering - that’s my thank you to them for their blood - (I work in veterinary medicine)...
I don’t like freezing blood - it destroys the RBCs and they literally burst when frozen, so in my humble opinion that is dead, damaged and useless blood - but that’s just my own opinion and experience. Use what works for you.
