  1. Hello Christine, I don't know where you are located, but I'm up in Northern MN and I have had an unusual Hummingbird at my feeders this year. A female oddly different than the other females. I know this is off topic but I thought it polite to reply. How fun for you to see such a wonderful bird about your domain. Regards, Gypsy
  2. Hello, My best advise to you is to start with the plant kingdom. From my experience, they are allies and quite eager to communicate. They are willing to give up their properties............ ( intelligence ) to assist the Witch with One's intentions and needs. It is the planting season, the Witch benefits from the grounding to Earth as well. Regards, Gypsy
  3. Wonderful !! Talented indeed. Regards, Gypsy
  4. Within the past 2 weeks, we've had to put in a new drain field on our property. Bring it up to code and all that, repair what was not working. Where they had to dig was where I buried the Owl that I hit with my truck coming home from work 2 years ago. I did all that I knew and was prompted to do for that Owl before I gleaned from its lifeless body. I gifted folks here with feathers for their workings. I buried it with respect and reverence and gratitude. Now I have it's bones, I'm not giving any tittle of a thought as to a possible curse for the accidental cause of it's death. The Owl lives on in my home, it has not been carried off by another animal predator to be torn to shreds as a possible meal of " road kill. " The bones speak to me. I hold them dear to me. They are teaching me, and I am humbled by what they have revealed. Regards, Gypsy
  5. ( Emphasis is Mine ) I would suggest that a Witch learn another verbal language, or learn hand gestures not so readily " familiar ". I feel it safe to say that we all have " our first Language ".. or we all accept the universal hand sign of " Thumbs Up / Okay ". In some countries that " hand sign " of " Okay ".... is not accepted as a welcoming thing, it is a great insult. Some workings require a more powerful action verb, not just a fly by your pants verb that suits the emotion at the time. Take the word " Slaughter " for instance. Brings up pictures.... right ? It also means, to " nullify " , " quash ", " annul " . What would that word ( Slaughter ) paint a picture of lets say in the Danish Language ? Would it be as what the picture has been painted, in the English language ? I'll be the first to admit that when I think or use the word " Slaughter".... that I sure didn't see the application to the word, " annul ", that word was a different picture all together. Catch my drift ? Regards, Gypsy
  6. Hello Nabu :) Off the top of my head, perhaps your property once held coffins from ages and ages ago ? They didn't embalm back then, and constructed some sort of wooden coffin, and these nails are all that is left of the tangible ? Maybe you have a treasure trove of authentic coffin nails ? Just musing my thoughts. Good to see you posting, btw ;) Regards, Gypsy
  7. Best guess off the top of my head, 7 being a number held by many as a magical number and the one making a trek or using the number 7 and times by 3 , is the 21 day cycle and the sacrifice of the travel. If One would go without the Gregorian Calendar and used the Moons for this. Regards, Gypsy One issue with this, the moon is on a 28 day cycle roughly. Perhaps I misunderstood your point?
  8. Hi Enodia, I never knew that...thanks for the enlightenment... lol ! I'm the only one in my Family ( parents / siblings ) that was born with a different color than the rest of my family. How interesting ! Regards, Gypsy Can you provide a link for further looking ?
  9. Hi Rose, Would you clarify what I highlighted ? I'm not grasping what you are presenting. I could easily offer that those who were born with the Caul, is only but One Mark, there are other Marks that would also offer physical traits as you well know. Thank you. Regards, Gypsy
  10. If it is a gift, it is dormant only to be re-awakened. Regarding your months and years before transparency or outcome .. some call that a long term working. Since this Witch taught you her ways.. no more for you to be fascinated.. time for you to embrace.. don't ya think ? Do it. And yeah check in more often when ya can..Nabu. :p Regards, Gypsy
  11. Rose, Based on your research would you consider doing a Forum Piece on this ? I'm one who is amazed at the skills and talents of Spiders and look to them for signs and changes in my Path. I found Your research fascinating. Thank you, plus One. Regards, Gypsy
  12. The Secret Life of Plants by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird. 1973 paperback. Captivating so far :) Regards, Gypsy
  13. Garlic has it's merits, however.... putting it up inside the female entrance is something that I wouldn't do at all. I take a garlic pill daily to assist my blood pressure. by mouth. Would I put it up inside my " dark spot ".... oh hell no. My niece is a RN, she told me of a story when she was working Urgent Care... and to this day, I can not look at the breath mints Altoids in the same way. I have to shake my head at Female Species when it comes to putting things " up " in places that could render a trip to the Doctor, for their foolishness. Argh... stupid stupid stupid, in my opinion. Regards, Gypsy
  14. Beautiful responses everybody. The older I get the more in-tune with my inner base self. Taking nothing for granted, looking beyond my self centered nose, and taking in small personal signs and omens. Being outside and listening what Nature is revealing to me. Working with the Elements, the Moons, Seasonal Cyclic differences. Not being afraid of what is around the next bend in my Path, and being a willing participant for what lies ahead. :) Being patient with curious self lets me advance at measured steps. Regards, Gypsy
  15. LoL ! Gads.... I'm so busted. ~ grabs her three pronged cane and seeing eye cat and toddle doddles away ~ Regards, GeriatricGypsy
  16. Being a fan of long term working and applications there in, I rather like this. I could endorse this for today being the Winter Solstice and as the days grow longer the working of spellcraft increases. Correct me if I'm wrong, as I don't have plants that flower within a certain season, but does this plant only bloom during this time of year ? Is it dormant during let's say during summertime ? I wonder if this working could be used with other blooming seasonal plants. Regards, Gypsy
  17. No I don't mind you asking. I was living in Washington state, at the time Mt. St. Helen erupted. When she " belched ".......................... she made Historical News that particular day. lol ! Regards, Gypsy
  18. Volcano ash from an eruption, has been an ingredient I've employed in a working. Regards, Gypsy
  19. http://www.traditionalwitch.net/forums/topic/7635-reading-people/?hl=%2Breading+%2Bpeople Maybe that's the one ? Regards, Gypsy
  20. :confused:I just don't understand those that show such passion in their writings ( Blogs ) what becomes of that passion in the Craft ? Unless it's a person I've become accustomed to on this Forum. The One's I've grown acquainted with, are " do-ers " of the Craft, their Path is activated by their passion. I wonder if the Authors of their Blog, when they are under copy right laws and such, would really like to see a copy and paste link of their writings on such a public Forum, unless from what I've seen, they have accepted " Followers ". I can understand that if you choose to be a follower of that particular Author and such, but to snag their compositions and post it on a TWC Forum, I have to scratch my head and wonder how the Author would be accepting to that, I guess I'm the " odd woman out " with this. Regards, Gypsy
  21. Yes, thank you for bumping this Aurora. I like what my Peer says here. To add as well, this type of old folk magic can be prepared ahead of time, and then used as needed. Regards, Gypsy
  22. You know Boys, the first time this old Broad heard her sing " Royals " it stayed with me all damn day. What a totally catchy melody.. loved it. :) Regards, Gypsy
  23. I like this. I wonder if one drank this tea while in a " hot as you can stand it " bath. As I wouldn't want to still have the cold or virus germs in my sheets. I'd like the whole damn cold to go down the drain ! Regards, Gypsy
  24. Bumping for new Members. :) Regards, Gypsy
  25. http://www.pantheon.org/articles/a/andraste.html http://www.pantheon.org/articles/m/medeine.html http://www.pantheon.org/areas/featured/witchcraft/chapter-7.html I found that on one of our links in the Forum, there were several more regarding the Hare and different culture myths as well as Witch-Craft. Regards, Gypsy
