About o_O

  • Birthday 10/05/1984

  • Gender
  • Location
    St. Louis , Mo
  • Interests
reading, researching, drawing, sewing, obsession with manga
  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
My familiarity and interest for witchcraft came from my great grandmother, who practiced some Cherokee traditions, herbalism and spirit communication. It was furthered when I was 10 when I was told by a classmate that what my great grandmother had taught me was witchcraft. From that day I've researched and incorporated the knowledge of every tradition/path of witchcraft I can find information on.
  • Have you explored other paths?
Every path I can learn about, including what's considered tradional paganism/witchcraft, Luciferian, Faery, Celtic, Voodoo, Hoodoo and various native and Shaman practices.
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
Yes, in the aspect that I don't believe in casting a circle, invoking deity, or having to have much more than intent and will. I was taught the most basic form of witchcraft is prayer, knowing what it is you want/need and put all your heart and will behind it and calling it forward.
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
To me, traditional witchcraft is the practice of understanding the energy of the world around you and how to have that energy work for you. It's understanding nature and respecting it as well as all those who came before you and the knowledge it all has to pass on to you.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
I can remember doing things with my great grandmother and I think I was around 3. I've been researching since I was 10 and first announced that I was practicing witchcraft when I was 12.
  • What brought you to our site?
Just looking for a non Wiccan based witchcraft forum. I don't mind Wiccans, but I need a place to retreat to where I can gather and share knowledge without someone screaming Gardner practices at me and how I'm doing things wrong as there is no wrong way in my opinion.
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
Any type of wisdom or knowledge would fulfill my hopes. Also hopefully sharing the knowledge I have with others.
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
I do, Mystic wicks and Everything under the moon.
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
I'm very good with spirit communication, having been noticed for having such a gift and being taught about them since I was a small child. I'm also a bit skilled with divination, mostly I-Ching and reading of Tarot and using regular playing cards in the same nature. I've also been told I have a strong gift for Sigils. Also can't remember a time when a spell didn't work out.
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
Even though I've been around herbalism ever since I can remember, I always have to go back to books and writings to find the right thing. I think it's because I'm afraid of using the wrong thing as it's kind of a science.

  1. Wishing you a Most Happy Birthday !! :D Enjoy your day.

  2. I was thinking the same thing as Vermilion. I personally would stand in the middle of the room and tell whatever it was to quit hiding and tell me what it wants, because it's either speak up and see what "we " can do about it or get out.
  3. I do glamouring in a couple different ways. For things around the house, I use oils and herb combinations. For myself, if I have the time to prep before hand, while I get dressed I keep a spell going in my head, sometimes sing it, keeping in mind what I'm going for. This helps to kind of enchant myself and what I'm doing. I often throw in colours of makeup or clothing to help with what I'm going for. If I don't have time to get ready in this manner, I take about 15 minutes to center and do a mental type ritual, focusing entirely on what image I want to put out and how I want to be perceived or not to be, and kind of bring it from my mind to my physical being.
  4. I was always taught that this lies inside you, as it's a part of you, so I don't know why you would need to astral project to come in contact with it. There is a type of meditation that mimics astral projection, but takes you deeper into the self. This meditation focuses on the idea that we are all connected to everything in all worlds and that there is a "place" inside us that allows us to make contact. I personally see astral projection as a very dangerous thing, as I know of what can happen to someone if something was to take advantage of the situation. The concept of something stealing your vessel/body is a very old one and something that in my experiences, I believe to be extremely possible.
  5. We(Cherokee) do have a lot of witchcraft in our ways and people do recognise it. I remember asking my great grandmother(who was a medicine woman) when she was teaching me once, about whether or not we practiced was witchcraft like all the towns people said, her reply was "We do, but even a prayer by the right person is witchcraft." Any good elder knows that the way of spirits is known to all cultures, just how it's gone about is different. It's often ignored though, as most people think that witchcraft involves the devil and such, and most don't want such association. The word sorcery also fits a bit better when you get deeper into a lot of it  .
  6. I'm good. Glad I could amuse you:P I've been around, just lurking.

  7. Good to see you ! Thanks for the Laugh ! Hope all is well in your little piece of the world. :D

  8. Every now and then I throw a few things out there. For instance, all cleansing bath s do is take away energies, which is good if something got attached to you and you can shake it off. However, if you're someone who's been brought up and taught to deal with spirits, these baths are a waste of time and water. Many things that New Age beliefs teach are about cleansing the self and disconnecting from certain energies so you can try to better connect to what's considered "positive" ones. The truth is, if you start to understand these energies, what they are and how to truly connect, you don't need to cleanse and try again, you can just tap in and out when you want to. It's kind of like Shamanic practices that what you to use certain plants for altered states. These states can be reached without anything, you just have to learn how to connect properly.
  9. Hello! I really liked one of your posts (in the new age discussion) and thought I'd like to have you as a friend on here! thx and kind regs,

  10. Tolerance is key for me when dealing with New Age individuals. I don't care much for their attitude when they get answers to the questions they ask me about my practice(if you didn't want to know then don't ask, or at least have the decency to shut up and walk away.) I often get people who think that since I look 19(though I'm about a decade older), I must not know what I'm doing. They don't seem to understand that I've been doing things for as long as many of them have, being brought up in it. I also hate the "you call on spirits;you better make sure to take a cleansing bath!" That is rubbish and if umpteen generations of my family never did, why start now. Some of the people who are into Shamanic and Native beliefs are okay, but this whole, they all believe the same thing concept needs to go, as I get tired of people telling me what I must believe since I was brought up Cherokee. Key note, my clan has secrets and we keep them that way and if you're not blood, meaning Cherokee and of the Paint clan, we're not telling you, we might not even if you do have those qualifications but we feel you don't have the capability of fully "understanding". We might give clues, but that's about it. Okay, it kinda of sounds like I was ranting, which I was, but that's how things go for me most often. Other than that I like certain discussions and ideas many new age people have, just not the direction they try to take everything.
  11. I personally don't mind Ghost Adventures, and it's not because of Zak. I think he's a bit of an idiot and not attractive at all. Their guest witches are a bit irritating, and Christian Day is a bit of a fake to me. I remember watching the Salem episode and seeing him and personally you shouldn't have that kind of excitement if you've done these types of things before. I do think the Ghost Adventures team does get some creditable evidence at times though and like their experiments with new equipment. There are things at times though were you have to wonder if they faked it. Ghost Hunters is pretty good, but like mentioned, you've seen a couple episodes you've seen them all. I've watched Paranormal State as well and it always seems that Ryan makes the whole thing about himself, and their occult expert isn't much of an expert. I did like Chip Coffey's idea for helping psychic children, though I think he went about it the wrong way at times and it definitely shouldn't have been a tv show. I think it's way too personal for those children and is something that should be handled privately.
  12. She gets it from a crematorium. That's all I know. I personally have had really good luck with it, though I do hold it in my hands before deciding whether or not to use it, seeing what energy is attached. Haven't had a bad batch yet, but it is always possible.
  13. For animal bone meal, chicken bones are good and easy to come by, especially if you like fried chicken. Most of the time I use human bone powder though. It's fantastic for sigils and necromantic workings(duh, lol). My friend who owns The Pumpkin and the Cauldron sells it for a decent price, given what it is.
  14. After I use eggs for cooking, I soak the egg shells in hot soapy water for a little bit and then finish washing them and let them air dry. Then powder them. Never had an issue with the membrane.
