  • Location
    the Pacific Ocean
  • Interests
painting, sculpting, singing, dancing, crocheting, writing, reading, snuggling with my cat...
  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
The more I learn, the more I realize how unconsciously familiar I've been with it (and using it) my whole life, but I'm not familiar with a lot of lore, ritual, and theory as I've never studied it before now.
  • Have you explored other paths?
I was raised from birth in a Christian, cult-like sect which I left in my early 20s. I then explored some guru-based paths but realized about a decade ago that I am agnostic.
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
Traditional Witchcraft means utilizing my natural talents and instincts to create and effect change in the world around me through the use of elements and the natural world.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
In reality, my whole life. Consciously? A few years.
  • What brought you to our site?
I was looking for a resource for information on Witchcraft workings and materials but everything I'd encounter on the web was tainted (or inundated) with the farcical b.s. of Wiccan fantasies and falsehoods. (As someone else on TW put it so perfectly: most just appear to be LARPing witchcraft)
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
I want to exchange information about workings and materials as well as learn things I can't find elsewhere (even most "witchcraft" books are Wiccan, not witchcraft).
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
working with plants, color, and sound
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
Theory (specific learned principles, rather than just working blindly and unconsciously on instinct)

  1. that part was so out of the blue, I was rolling
  2. I don't know where the original was from (I'm not on FB) but I'm guessing if you searched for school bus taillights and hexagram or pentagram you may find it, even if it's some other moron posting about it... And here's another funny witch shirt you have to click the thumbnail to see :D
  3. Thank you - I opened the shop to raise funds to buy an electric wheelchair because I can no longer self-propel my manual one. :witchbroom:
  4. I set up this shop to share rare tarot decks & books on magick I've collected over the years & other natural & handmade items of interest (witchy ceramics, art, tarot card bags, pouches, candle holders, altar bowls, etc) to other witches & pagans... I'll be adding more periodically, so if you're an Etsy member, be sure to favorite my shop so you'll see in your feed when I've added to it as I've got about 2 dozen out of print decks I'm going to be putting in there (along with other items) - https://www.etsy.com/shop/HawaiiMagick
  5. I just... (click the thumbnail to expand it)
  6. Seconding this because I can't upvote a mod ;)
  7. ok, everyone keeps mentioning Beyonce, but check out the two items her sister Solange brought in her mesh bag to the Met Gala last night :cool_witch: (the theme was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination")
  8. Ok, I got off my lazy butt and found the pic in Gemma Gary's Traditional Cornish Witchcraft book (mentioned in this thread - http://www.traditionalwitch.net/forums/topic/13388-cunning-craft/?do=findComment&comment=191574)to share with you of another type of Spirit House creation to give you another idea between "primitive" and "miniature house replica" of a route you can go (really the idea is just to create something that keeps them interested and occupied that you don't mind looking at as well) (you have to click the thumbnail to see it full size since it was an upload)
  9. Yeah, Spirit Houses can be elaborate or simple - I'm guessing they started out most places very simple (like in my example) and just evolved from there in other places, but who knows for sure... Michele mentioned buying/decorating birdhouses at craft stores, but you can also buy the twig / rattan ball at craft stores as well to fill as you'd like if you don't have the patience/know-how to construct one (some people just put them out plain in bowls for their "shabby chic" homes which is why I think they're carried in those stores the first place ) ...on a separate note, I've also seen them filled with fiber and string and hung from trees in spring so birds have nice (and sometimes colorful, depending on the fibers used) access to nest building materials!
  10. Aurora (for those who don't know her, here's her most recent vid)
  11. I've moved A LOT in my lifetime (like, over 60 times - thankfully I've been in my current residence for nearly 4 years which is a record!) and one thing I've always done which I did long before I consciously realized I was doing "witchy" things is to get on my hands and knees and clean every inch of a new place. I'd always said it was to get the last residents' "dirt" out (even if the place was thoroughly cleaned prior to me moving in, I'd still do this myself) but I know now that subconsciously I was clearing away the previous residents' energy and residuals... not everyone likes to be that thorough, but I know now that I'm extremely sensitive to other people's energy and "gunk" and it's just something I've always had to do whether I realized the real reason behind my need to do it or not. Using Florida Water for this purpose prior to moving in would be extremely effective as well. Another very witchy thing you can do is to create a Witch Bottle and bury it in the appropriate location of your new house. You can also make a Spirit House for your new home - they can be all kinds of different forms/materials/designs - really however you're inspired to make it - but here's an old example of one from the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic:
  12. Yes, Lo Scarabeo usually has the most mini decks, and it looks like they currently have 24 mini decks available: http://shop.loscarabeo.com/index.php?id_category=24&controller=category&id_lang=1&n=24 US Games usually does smaller quantities of the mini decks I've seen so they're not available as long as the Lo Scarabeo decks, but I'm sure if you did a google search you could find some on Amazon and other places still in stock if none of the Lo Scarabeo decks light your fire, Duchess...
  13. I've fallen way behind (but plan to pick it back up once my man's visiting family leaves next week) so I can't offer much of an informed opinion yet, but I'll write more once I can...
  14. "trolled you for the lolz" - that's hilarious, citoyenne  But I still want to know WHAT DECKS people are talking about when they share! :cool_witch:
