So I have searched and searched but I am finding nothing on rune stones on the site. Does anyone use runes for divination? I have been told I am quite good at it.I enjoy the spirit of the thing. Its a wonderful way for me to focus my workings, though I am still not very good at workings. I would love to do readings for anybody who may want one. Doing readings often keeps my energy in tune with the stones. Its good for me and for them. PM me any time. If you do use stones what are your stones made out of? What runes do you feel most connected with? What casting method do you use?

A gift for a friend and sister who is moving into a new life. A talisman of protection and strength. A naturally polished river stone carved on both sides. One side is the triple spiral of Freya, the obverse is a gold tinted sigil containing 22 of the 24 Elder FUTHARK with a Peridot inset. The moon is a rough carved piece of Rowan. She is of Celtic descent so I made the pouch from green velvet and gold leather drawstring with brass bead details.

These are glimpses of some of my rune sets. They are hand painted stones I gather from the glacial rivers here. Each are painted with Elder Futhark on one side, and on the obverse sides such designs as bumblebees, wild roses, thistles, shamrocks, and bear paws. The Sacred Oak set has acorns and leaves painted in spring and fall colors. I keep them in draw string pouches that lay out to become casting cloths. Runes hold a deep fascination for me, though my divination skills in a word, suck. Nonetheless, I find their power compelling and inspiring and have been painting these stones since I was 8 or 9 years old. I used to leave them stashed in the woods...
