I grew up Protestant, then in my teens I explored Wicca, Buddhism and Druidry.

    Yes.
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
    It is about being yourself.

Around seven years, although I believe I have been a witch all my life. Just never put a name on it. :)

The urge to discuss non-Wiccan witchcraft.

  1. I have worked with St.Expedite and would do so again, worked well for me.
  2. I have compulsive book buying and reading disorder. lol Not even sure if it exists, but it does now! :P
  3. I just got a book called "Wicked Plants: The A-Z of Plants that Kill, Maim, Intoxicate and Otherwise Offend" - seems very interesting. ^_^
  4. I don't have a witch name, I basically find it a tad silly to be honest. Especially as I believe that all mundane things have magical uses, a name being no different. Picking a "magical name" doesn't make it any more magical than your birth name. *shrugs*
  5. Oh I know!! Especially the ones who act like saints but are up to all kinds of stupidity and then tell folk like us we are doomed for hell. I generally have low tolerance for stupidity but unfortunately it happens all the time. Weird thing is, I do more "good deeds" then most Christians I know. Maybe it's cause I don't deprive myself of so called "sins". lol You always want what you can't have...:rolleyes_witch:
  6. I have been quite tolerant lately, although maybe thats because I don't go looking for them. Unfortunately at the moment I have a very low tolerance for Christians cause they are everywhere, all the time, I can't escape! lol
  7. "Psychology: The Science of Mind and Behaviour", by Richard Gross.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8a4iiOnzsc Feel good song. :)
  9. I agree, I think that it's silly to think that vegetarians think they are hurting nothing. We are all murderers when you think about it. We probably kill hundreds of life forms everytime we step out the door, or even move. It's the fact of life. I personally don't eat meat because it seems gross to me, especially when you see it raw before hand. Makes me wanna puke. lol :sickwitch:
  10. Ah, tell me about it. It's really no wonder I broke up with him.
  11. Thankies. ^_^ Meat eaters don't bother me, I couldn't care less what others do tbh, the only thing that really bothered me was that he tells me that it's cruel and weird to have an animal skull. And I asked "Whats the difference between having the skull of an animal, and eating it's dead flesh?" Needless to say he didn't have much of a response. lol All he said was "It's not the same". :pumpkin_rolleyes:
  12. I dunno what he thought...As an animal lover myself if I do get skulls or anything made of leather I try and make sure it's from a good source that shows the animal respect. He said that as a witch I should be taking care of nature, not collecting it - yet nothing was ever said about two starfish I have, or leaves, stones, flowers, etc, that I have collected myself. But it's all the same to me, they all have spirit and were living beings at one point. Ugh, I wish people would use some common sense...
  13. I think I replied on this topic before, but seeing it again has reminded me of a situation of my most recent relationship (who I split up with). I basically bought a small mink skull rattle months ago from another witch, I never really showed my ex it as I didn't feel the need to. It was something personal of mine. Then one day, near the end of the relationship he saw it sitting and was "dissapointed" by it. And wondered how I could be a real vegetarian who cares for animals and yet have an animal skull. Now, that statement baffled me to no end - he was a serious meat eater who didn't seem to care where his steaks came from as long as they were nice. He claimed to be a huge animal lover and yet he loved extremely rare steak to the point of blood dripping out of it. How is that ok, and yet me having an animal skull is "weird"??
  14. Good topic! I really think it depends on the person. No one has the right to tell someone else what they can and cannot do, especially when it's hard earned money and we feel like a treat. Personally, I do like new things. I like new clothes, books, make up, etc. However I do sometimes limit myself, especially if I stop and think "do I really need this?". Most of the time I don't. lol I try to do my bit for the environment, but sometimes a treat is nice!
  15. Oh jeez, not another one! lol I am running out of space for books. lol :D
