Is there anything you don't like about witchcraft?
Belwenda replied to Wexler's topic in Chit Chat - Public
The need to practice, practice, practice. Reminds me of piano lessons but like my mom said "you'll thank me some day". -
Its a snow goose isn't it?
-
I have "R of the M", it's interesting....I've not slogged through the whole thing though.
-
Why bother with them at all though? IMO there is less dangerous energy with which to work. I haven't used an Ouija bord since I was a child and I don't think I would dare use one now because as RR mentioned, getting rid of what(who) may come through - unwanted ... unknown can be tough.

Loved that show:-)

Iron can be used for protection, to draw out a negative influence, to add strength( although not always directed). There is a whole school of thought to metals' relationship to spell work, it requires accepting old ideas on corrospondence though.

I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized. If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming. ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Long but my favorite

I have a magic button that I've had since childhood :witch_bounce: I keep it in my change purse.

"....... cut my hair, happened just the othe day." So far it feels fine.

WW of the West; that's me!

I know what you mean about leaving hair behind on the floor of the salon- although they start sweeping immediately. For ages I've kept my hair shoulder length - IDK but I seem to always have it up- at work definately- down, it is a distraction (and kinda hot too). I don't mind the grey- never got into the coloring thing.

Powerful stuff the Ocean and hard to control as is has some "big" G(g)ods and formidable inhabitants. Most of my experience is in the Atlantic- (south Florida as a child knew then it wouldn't last forever- magical though)- the Pacific has an altogether different energy- much colder too:) seawater though can be quite helpful in spellwork and I agree; shells have a vibration too- it's all so alive though- I guess that's the punch.

Science Article about Inter-generational Memories
Belwenda replied to Sylvan's topic in Discussion of Articles & Topics
Very interesting- -
Good point.

Binding spells can be pretty powerful- you could be stuck with the person forever on some plane. I use them sparingly.
-
Porn; that's an interesting comparison. I agree.

Ebony is an African tree- the wood my husband used often in his pieces, it sometimes "explodes " while drying; not the most stable exotic to work with and it is a very small tree- resinous. That's all I know

Astral projection to speak to higher self and/or spirits?
Belwenda replied to Loreali's topic in Divination
"Possible dumb question: is astral projection while awake considered different than the "traveling" one may do in a sleep state? My question too- stole my thoughts again:) -
IMO there are better ways to restrict action than binding, and I agree w/ Witch Elm's point- one may run the risk of binding the miscreant to oneself. I always "bind to" and "banish from".

Right now I am using the Halloween Tarot deck and I love it. Although I have many decks I seem to go through phases where I use just one. This Hallowween deck is whimsical and fun. I also work with runes occasionally, but they are more work for me.

"My very first deck however was the Marseille deck, which still has a place of honor with me. In fact, sometimes I truly wonder if it's a mistake to place too much emphasis on the pictures, especially in the minor arcana, because they're another's drawing/interpretation; what I like about the Marseille deck is that it leaves the interpretation strictly to the reader and his/her system, based simply on the four elements as represented in the suits, and numerology where the minor arcana are concerned." I have the Marseille Deck and you're right the reading is different- less romantic than other decks. I use Witches' Tarot , the most often then Gilded and Robin's Wood at work.

Maddie is the best, such a lovely voice.

I have several decks but most often reach for the Witch's Tarot at home. I use the Robin's Wood deck at work. I like the Guilded Tarot as well and I have a African deck, a present from my husband, which is small and good for traveling. Started w/ RW but it never really worked for me, I gave it away. I also have a Santa Fe deck which is beautiful but kind of severe. A friend brought me a deck from France I've used it but... maybe I need to adopt an accent to get it to work for me :pumpkin_rolleyes:

I think reading tea leaves is like looking at clouds, everyone sees something different, and then there is the interpretation! Cards do seem more straightforward. But I love the little figures, they are so delicate.
