  • Location
    Wales
  • Interests
Things that bring me closer to nature. Surfing, running, reading.
  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
I am very familiar with the craft and have about 10 years experience with it.
  • Have you explored other paths?
I do learn about other paths and tend to think deeply about them before I think about if they would be right for me. I was brought up as a Christian (Jehovah's witness), an experience that made me an atheist for many years.
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
Yes.... taken from Celtic folklore and Cornish witchcraft. materials I have used for my workings have been things such as wax...herbs...crystals...bones...teeth..hair..sweat..my own blood.....photographs and passports
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
To me it means harnessing the energies of the self...the energies of earth, the spirits of the land and the spirit world, and the energies of other dimensions, binding them together with will and intent to influence outcomes.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
Approximately 10 years... with more serious intent.
  • What brought you to our site?
I am looking for a site that doesn't attempt to turn the craft into something of a joke, having looked at other sites I saw one post say.... "I have nearly 500 spirit guides and demons... you can buy one for £70 if you want." They were serious.... I want a site that practices things that I don't already and that I could possibly add to my skills.
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
I have never been a follower of people and could never follow a text written by a man/woman or groups of men telling me this is how it should be done. However we are all individuals who adapt to their surroundings and develop their own knowledge. I have my own knowledge which I could share but I would also like to see what else I could learn.
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
No... I had a look at a couple but as a guest... I did actually register with one but I have never posted on there and after having had a look right through the site consider it a bit of a joke.
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
I am good at framing and casting a spell for a given situation... my castings are always very personal. I am also very creative in how I work my magic. I find it easy to meditate and visualise and find that the energies of nature naturally tune in to me. My willingness to learn is also a strength.
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
I am a very private person, I am not a follower and personally don't believe that being a part of a coven is the best way to practice unless united together for a one off goal to maximise energy. But personally I am who I am and no high priest/priestess is qualified to tell me that I am at a certain level, or that I am not doing something right... The Craft is about making a difference... not trying to attain some sort of a degree. The more I learn about the Craft the more I realise I know nothing.

  1. I think that a lot of areas of the craft begins with understanding yourself first which allows you to open up and grow inside and this takes a lot of internal work. It takes time but it is only natural that focussing and developing yourself internally will benefit you both mentally and physically.
  2. I would have given the same answer and look if she had asked me if I was a witch to be honest :)
  3. In my opinion it is always better to make your own runes it is very simple and your bond and connection will be a thousand times stronger than mass produced copied runes created by someone else which I think makes our divination much more effective.
  4. I definitely believe that people who practice the craft give of a different vibration to other people. I have sensed it with people and a woman actually approached me in Butlins Holiday park and asked me if I was wiccan!! This was in the evening while watching the entertainment. I wore a shirt and jeans and would definitely not give the impression that I am witchy or occultist in any way shape or form. Of course I told the lady no and gave her a confused look..... she was wearing a pentagram ring but I didn't sense her coming and did wonder how she sensed me
  5. Hi Truffles, Just an opinion from me... the intent in that spell could be too broad for my liking. For example if I was doing it for myself I would be a lot more specific in terms of what it was that I wanted and I would also be more specific of when I wanted it by. The more general the spell the more you can fail to recognise the opportunities that present themselves from it as they will present themselves to you in ways you wont recognise. I tend to think of magic or energy as more effective as a lazer. Direct, to the point, exact. By doing this and also giving a deadline in your spell you are more likely to know if it has worked or not and then gives you the opportunity to tweak the spell until it works for you. Best of luck and happy casting!
  6. I would also like to see some pictures :D
  7. I couldn't agree more!! I began my journey in the craft without realising what I was doing was even remotely related to witchcraft. I knew that I was different to the norm and was comfortable with that. I love the feeling of isolation.... for me that is when myself and nature connects on a different level. I was happier playing footy on my own as a kid at the bottom of the valley than playing with the other kids on the sports field. I live right on top of a valley which is sparsely populated. I would hear voices and whispers and have conversations with the nature around me. I still do!! I used to sit for hours and watch the bees enter and exit the bluebells, there were hundreds of them, and each of them would wait their turn politely avoiding each other and I remember thinking that what I was watching could only be a miracle. Even now if you get hundreds of people together and ask them to all do the same task you would end up with a riot. Apologies!!! I am going off on a tangent... just nice thinking of fond memories!! Anyway.. I recognised candle magic and knot magic at a young age, I had never been taught but always loved candles... had always stared through them in the dark allowing my mind to be taken by the flame, having mini adventures in my unknowing young mind.. so as far as candles go.... the colour of a candle in a text book bears no relevance to me... as I make my own and I make a candle the colour that I want it to be for my own personal reason based on my experience growing up as a child. Its a similar thing with knot magic... even now as an adult before I take on something that I want to succeed in, the last thing that I do is tie my shoe laces with my final blast of intent being timed with the final extra pull in my lace knot. So colours of rope or lace means nothing for me, unless it is for something important such as a knot spell to help somebody catch pregnant who has had difficulty in the past. Only then will I plat rope together to strengthen and die it a certain colour, or even more effective is soaking the rope in specific fluids. Over years growing up spent in and around our forest and valley floors I have come to know the plant life around me. Many of them mean different things to me than what I have read on various websites and seen in books as to what they have traditionally meant. For example basil is widely thought to be the herb used for career advancement or money related spells. I would like to know where that has come from?? for me... apart from cleansing and purifying areas, using any type of herb/spice is simply used for healing or harming, be it mind or body. For me personally basil is the last thing I would use as an ingredient to attract anything apart from a spirit. Again this is just from personal experience. Having said that there is sooooo much shit on the internet and modern woo woo books it can be really hard to break it down and discover where the source of the information is. So I just go on how I feel.
  8. Yeah I agree Sol I wasn't going to go into any detail, just stating a reason for interest in the post. I have had a lot of interaction with mw regarding my goals but if you want to add your advice then feel free to pm :handshake:
  9. Fair play to you Zombee you have gone through a lot there to help new people to the craft get started and their is an awful lot of information to help guide. I take my hat off to you. I would also like to add, not to detract from anything in your post Zombee, but for people starting out.... use it as a very useful guide and not a must do it this way type bible. The truth is Zombee has a wealth of knowledge and experience, but this has been earned over time and Zombee is very comfortable with what works for him and what doesn't. Although having a list of representations and associations can be good as a starter.... as long as you understand that they can be challenged on what an individual feels rather than reads. So for example where this may apply to some: Week Day will pin down the intent's best timing. Planet associations tell what purpose a thing can be used for. Associations are shown by weekday, planet, color & purpose: Sunday (Sun) yellow, leadership, health, advice Monday (Moon) white, marriage, family, psychic endeavors Tuesday (Mars) red, conflict, legal matters Wednesday (Mercury) light blue-aqua, communication, education, divination Thursday (Jupiter) blue, finances, job, prosperity, protection Friday (Venus) green, love, allure, fertility Saturday (Saturn) black, endings, banishing I for example have no association between areas of focus such as Sundays and the colour yellow, leadership, health, advice etc.... My workings rather are governed more by my emotions... the weather (thunderstorms etc...) and lunar cycles, as well as my personal association, experience and relationship with my ingredients, and I have found my workings work more effectively regardless if it is finances, protection, legal matters etc... the day of the week bares no importance to me and I dare say many others. So that is not to say don't try it, try everything! experiment lots and lots!! but if it doesn't work for you scratch it out and tweak it to something more personal to you.
  10. Salves is a topic that I am learning more about... I didn't realise it is so easy!! My goal is to make a belladonna salve.... I don't think that will be so easy
  11. I haven't seen this one before so I will give it a little go..... 1. What is your favorite witchy movie? I enjoyed season of the witch 2. Where is your favorite place to do a spell? In a forest preferably near a river. 3. Where do you NORMALLY do your spells? Around the forest of my home, depending on the weather and also my garage. 4. What type of spells are your favorite? I have mainly focussed on protection spells for my kids but as they have got older, I have sort of branched off experimenting with spirits and challenging them. I am also on a journey of discovery and experimentation using plants and new herbs seeing how they affect my spellwork. 5. What is your favorite ingredient for a spell? spit and herbs. 6. What is your LEAST favorite ingredient to use in a spell? someone elses semen or blood. 7. What is your favorite witchy holiday/festival? Samhain, a very important day for us Celts. 8. Do you have an animal spirit, If yes, how many? No. 9. If yes to #8, name the animal spirit(s): N\A. 10. Name your favorite witchy character: Hmmm.... none come to mind.. but I do like Angelina Jolie so I will go for her in Maleficent. 11. When was the last time you did a hex/curse? I have one lovingly prepared for my bosses, fortunately I only had a 1st warning in my disciplinary where I was expecting a dismissal, so there it remains unleashed. 12. What is your weakness as a witch? Geez there it is again.... I can be wound up about being labelled  18. Obviously my actions upon meeting him would have prevented that from happening. 19. How much of a "modern stereotyped witch" applied to you as a witch? None, people on this forum helped guide me to where I am and I am as far away to a stereotypical witch as is possible..... In my opinion. 20. How long have you been a member of this forum? 2-3 yearsish...
  12. It is certainly possible, I have gone through that manuscript many times from start to finish and it has always defeated me but intrigued me all the more!! However, I am no expert on medieval Latin abbreviations. I am also sure that medieval scholars would have been a part of previous studies of the manuscript, so I would like to see more evidence pushing this theory before making a decision to support it or not. It is nice to finally have even a sniff of a breakthrough though!!
  13. I have to be honest I don't like cats, I love watching them, my dad has a cat that ventures into his garden and I love watching him hunting, it's like watching a mini lion. But cats have good memories and like revenge, I remember visiting a friend and he had to push the cat off the couch for me to sit down, that bloody cat gave me the evil eyes all the time I was there! When I went back there a few weeks later and sat in the same place, the bloody thing jumped on me from nowhere like a ninja and scrammed my neck. Sneaky bugger. He never got me again though, I think he was happy with his revenge attack!
