    Wedding Bells....

Congrats, EH - I'm very happy for you!
  2. I'm getting another tattoo tonight - I will post pics later.
  3. Yes, in fact they have. As a nurse I've probably seen every possible body placement for piercings and tattoos, LOL! As to YOUR possible tattoo... yes, you are a Cancer, but remember too that you're a father. That is something else that will never change. :D Sandy's got beautiful tattoos that incorporate her sons' names. Take a look. They're in this thread if I'm not mistaken.
  4. Isn't it so weird how some families don't want to tell their story? I never did understand that, and know little about my father's family because of that same reason. *shrug*
  5. Usually asking works for me - but I also use a purple candle! I'm not a huge color freak either, but there's something about that color that just resonates for me. For my grandmother, however, I put on some coffee and make her a cup. I tear up every time - I miss her so much.
  6. *DROOL* Kirk would KILL me if I shelled out 4K for a book... but this one's got the goodies that came with it originally... (scheming, scheming... ) Thanks Lela!!:grin_witch:
  7. Okay - I want a copy of this book. Andrew Chumbley wrote it. It's rare as hell, even more expensive... but I want it! Any leads? Anyone? I've been to several rare book sites and see where they HAD one... but alas, it's sold. Pthththt.
  8. I dunno, dude... I looked pretty freakin' rough after a 12 night shift, LOL! :scared:
  9. LMAO! It's been my nursing experience that it's always the tough guys like you that go faint at the sight of a needle. Makes me point and laugh every single time. Bwahahaha!
  10. Here's mine: You are a Healer Empath. You take in the energy of others and transmute it. You trigger transformation in others and free trapped energy. You are capable of great healing abilities. You walk between the worlds and bring waves of healing energy with your presence.
  11. To ease everyone's mind, it was not a TW member that made the offending comment - it was a trollish guest posting in the guest forum - and the post was not noticed until the author stopped by and read it, and then got very upset. You all make very good points in the above posts but the fact remains that we DO live in a litigious society, and seeing as this board is important to a lot of us, the simple fix to keep this threat away from TW is to be objective and non-personal in your critiquing. I am a big advocate of freedom of speech, and for those here that know me, I definitely do "tear it up" sometimes, but when it comes to an issue like this - one that threatens the existence of this board - well, even I will mind how I say things in regard to someone's published work. No one's saying we can't express our opinions on a book, but we absolutely cannot bash the author personally. Can I still say I think a book sucks and give my reasons why? Yes. Can I say the author's a dumb, ugly prick? No. Therein those examples lies the difference between being objectively critical and getting us in trouble with libel/slander/defamation. The admins and mods really do appreciate everyone paying attention to this matter.
  12. I am reading "The Affair of the Poisons: Murder, Infanticide, and Satanism at the Court of Louis XIV" by Anne Somerset. VERY interesting!
  13. I have to chime in here (nodding YES to Spinney's question) - why on earth would you want to stop a book from being written? Books have an intrinsic value, no matter what the content, and by stopping the creation basically you are quashing the author's creative spirit. I wouldn't use SRW's books to kill roaches with, but that doesn't mean that SOMEONE out there doesn't cherish the hell out of every volume, and who the hell am I to say what someone else is supposed to believe in, or be, or do? Perhaps you ought to thank SRW and Scott Cunningham for giving you some reading material to chew on for a while - obviously the content of their books pushed you into searching further for clarification, and what's wrong with that? As to your "Wiccan" association, I have to be honest and say that your presence here, in light of that, just irks the shit out of me. Please don't take this as me disliking you because that's not the case, but we ARE NOT Wiccans here. Besides, if you start any "love and light" crap, Anjel may implode/explode from irritation and exasperation and I don't think Florida can handle the aftershocks! AND, lastly... about the whole "emo" thing. I honestly don't think having an "emo" outlook allows you to grow. Perhaps that is your problem. Put on some colorful clothes and quit bemoaning the awfulness of the world. It's amazing what you can see if you take off your depressing blinders.
