  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
I've been a witch and followed the craft for many years. Although I used to use aspects of Wicca it never felt quite right and I learned that when I followed my own instincts, the energy became stronger and things just fit into place
  • Have you explored other paths?
I have used some aspects of Wicca
I like to educate myself on other paths but follow my instincts on what I am led to practice
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
Yes I am especially interested in gardening and growing herbs that I use in various ways.
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
Respecting nature and earth and using your own instincts rather than a set of rigid rules. Finding your own way as an individual and letting the craft guide you rather than a group of people. Respecting the history and tradition of British cunning folk.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
    20 odd years!
  • What brought you to our site?
Wanting to avoid all the Wicca sites and teen witch pop culture! Wanting to connect with traditional witches but remain a solitary and free practitioner of magick
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
Its always nice to connect with like minded people and to share tips and experiences. I have learned that the "magic" is in the intent, and not dependent on fancy tools and rigid rituals. Sometimes it's nice to have a little ceremony or a special tool that you're drawn to but it's not imperative. I find the more I practice, the more I learn and I'd like to share my journey with others and pass on my thoughts to newer members if it is something they might be interested in hearing
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
    No
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
Healing and clairvoyance. I'm starting to gain a lot more confidence in growing and using herbs
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
Self belief. I have often found myself reading more than practising which I'm working on!
  • Additional Information.
I've added a little to my profile as in the last few months, I feel I've stepped up a lot in my practice and gained more confidence. I am aware of how far I've developed and how much farther I need to grow and learn. I see it as an exciting journey and I'd like to share it with others
  1. You got: Jadis, the White Witch You’re as strong as you are intimidating. If you aren’t much taller than everyone around you, you seem way taller. You tend to think most rules/laws don’t apply to you. Love winter, hate Christmas.Via narnia.wikia.com
  2. I got: Orange Aura Your aura is orange. With your love of joking and playing around, you’ll make a great parent or babysitter. Younger relatives look up to you because you’re fun and outgoing. Friends love to laugh with you. Spirits with orange auras are always up for adventure, especially if it’s outdoors.
  3. Hi I just wanted to let you know I found a really cute website called Pooka pages at www.pookapages.com It is for children that are from pagan families There are stories on there, activities, information and craft ideas. It's really cool for witchlings as they refer to them. I found it when I was looking for mabon crafts to do with my little boy and I was on it for ages!!
  4. Thanks westofthemoon, unfortunately we can't use that on him as his sense of smell is so strong, he can't tolerate it
  5. --------- I agree, this is how I do my potions. For love, I'd probably make up a spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, parsley, chilli. Basically herbs that correspond with love, passion and good old fashioned lust
  6. Lol benzo'd. Now there's an old memory from my misspent youth lol He won't touvh lemon and honey, he tells me honey is for bears not children lol. He's alright now though, thanks guys xx
  7. Thank you all so much for your replies I don't believe antibiotics are always necessary as kids get over prescribed and then they don't work when they need to. I used to be a nurse, so I keep a close eye. For me, western medication is the "alternative " Rachel lol yes pepper gets spotted at a hundred yards! Actually you and pikkusisko are both on the same page as me! I put lavender in the fan water reservoir. That went down well, I thought he might scream if the water vapour got him wet, but he loved it! Then I put catnip in ice cubes and we had a contest to see whose melted first/ last. He wouldn't drink it when it got really small as he said he didn't want the "vegables " to touch his lips lol. But he would have got some in the juice which is cool Today he's really picked up, he's talking non stop which is usual for him, mostly repetitive speech but at least he's not all lethargic anymore He said to me yesterday, mummy you're not gonna give me lemon and honey are you? You always try to give me that when I'm poorly, and I keep telling you honey is for bears not children lol
  8. Hi MW. Definitely no to the feverfew on bread, if he can see green he screams and bites himself if I don't take it away. I hadn't thought of catnip. I wonder if I could hide an infusion in his beaker with a juice. Thank you for your help The cats will be mighty put out with sharing their supplies lol
  9. I started with AE Waite which my brother bought me when I was 13. This was my introduction to why exactly I was a bit "strange" lol. This is when I learned about my mums side of the family all being witches and mediums, and why I kept seeing people dressed in old fashioned clothes and smelling things others couldn't etc. I'd also had a couple of premonitions and frightening dreams, so it was time. Years later I was drawn to Doreen virtues Angel oracle cards which helped me expand and control my communications with spirit more and develop my psychic intuition to where I learned to tune in and out, and protect myself from empathy overload! Earlier this year I was on eBay buying sage and noticed a Native American deck, messages from your animal guides, without hesitating I clicked on buy. I used them once and put them away. I feel like it might be time to get them back out.
  10. Hi so I wanted to ask if anyone could give me a wee bit of advice. My little boy is autistic and has massive issues with anger and aggression, he is the hardest child to sneak things into drinks and pretty much only eats dry foods. I have had success with a blend of Bach flower essences I made and can just about get away with it in his black currant juice However our current dilemma is that he has a sore throat, fever and upset tummy. He won't go near honey, lemon or chamomile and I can't think of a way of getting feverfew into him. We are giving him calpol and keeping him cool with a fan. I managed to burn a little eucalyptus in the lounge earlier to try and clean the room a bit, but then he got all upset about the smell For anyone who doesn't already know, autistic people have incredibly strong/ heightened senses Short of carrying on with calpol can you think of anything else I could try? I might try a cord spell but usually for illness I take it away from the house and I don't know if I'll be able to do that. He loves his daddy but only mummy will do when he's poorly so he sticks to me like glue!! Thanks for taking the time to read
  11. I'm glad I've seen this, ive been humming and ahing about getting the modern grimoire for cunning folk. Might give it a miss now

  14. I do this! I keep a selection of bags for different purposes so I've always got something to hand. I have ones for protection, relaxation, what I call my wakey wakey bag, my lovey dovey bag, one for focus, bravery and a special one which is my stop and calm down bag. This one I use if someone has seriously pissed me off and I don't want to act impulsively, it gives me the opportunity to calm down and think things through
