  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
Very familiar, have been into witchcraft for over 15 years. It started with trying things like changing eye-colour. That didn't work of course and after a while I found out about real witchcraft. I've been a pagan tree-hugging new agey witch. I used to think Witchcraft was both a way of life and a religion but soon enough I realised that witchcraft was actually what the name said it was. A craft. I still do have religious beliefs, but that doesn't have anything to do with witchcraft for me.
  • Have you explored other paths?
First neo-wiccan, decided that wasn't the path for me. Later eclectic with a lot of (neo)wiccan practices. Currently just a witch.
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
Yes, I've been working with witchcraft for over 15 years no matter the changes in my religious beliefs.
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
The craft, using witchcraft in any way I feel is right for me.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
15+ years. It started getting serious after my neo-wiccan period.
  • What brought you to our site?
    A google search :)
I think this is the kind of place I have been looking for.
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
I expect to find other people who practice witchcraft. I expect to contribute knowledge and if not knowledge, then at least a new point of view and some ideas.
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
Not anymore. All forums in my native language died. I do however, have a blog at https://hollyhockwitch.wordpress.com/
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
Writing my own spells and rituals, being practical.
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
Honestly I'm bad at anything to do with planning. ADHD makes me lose focus when I'm doing something that I don't find interesting, so big rituals with guidelines and such don't work for me at all.

  1. Having one of those days where all I want to do is read and learn new things.

  2. The same thing I dislike about life. There is no instruction manual, no helpdesk, and not even a magical answer to everything. But to be fair, I don't really wish there was. I just get lost in my own curiosity sometimes because there is so much to learn. And I think that's amazing.
  3. I do believe there is power in hair, in a way. Hair can hide our faces and make us feel invisible behind a curtain. It can also attract attention, make us look more intimidating, make us fit in. I think the length and style of hair have that same influence when it comes to witchcraft. Want to focus on seductive, lingering magic? Long hair. More into chaos or just blasting your magic into the world? Bright red mohawk. Sea witchcraft? Get that mermaid hair dye! My point is that I believe the real power is in allowing your hair to reflect something of yourself, whether it's long, short, natural, dyed, a wig, etc. And of course baldness doesn't make someone less powerful or attuned. It's just something that happens, and for most people it sucks.
  4. I'm really bad at sticking to one book at a time. Series: The way of Shadows (Night Angel #1) by Brent Weeks. The eye of the world (Wheel of time #1) by Robert Jordan Flirt (Anita Blake, vampire hunter #18) by Laurell K. Hamilton Mockingjay (The Hunger Games #3) by Suzanne Collins Untamed (House of Night #4) by P.C. Cast Other: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde I also remember I was reading the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind for the second time. I read the entire series, but then Goodkind decided he needed to write more books about Richard and Kahlan.
  5. I was just wondering whether these forums had a topic like this or not. So glad it popped up on top of the activity feed! I'm listening to Darude - Sandstorm
  6. I am planning on getting a tattoo. One of an image that perfectly captures my interests and passions. All of the little symbols in it are somehow linked to my craft.
  7. I recently shaved the left side of my head, after a big change. Now that I'm living with my parents again, I'm going to grow it out again. I practiced little magic in the time I shaved it, but it mostly affected my mood when practicing magic rather than my skill.
  8. I'm indifferent. Some of my friends are into new age stuff. I think it's fine to practice all light and love and happiness, just son't force it on others.
  9. I love garlic, basil and nutmeg. Use them for cooking and for magical purposes.
  10. I'm really bad at keeping notes. It's something I need to learn and need help with.
  11. I think this is something I need to read. Thanks for telling us about it!

How much of a "modern stereotyped witch" applied to you as a witch? Hmmm.. I am goth and wear a lot of black, got a cat named Salem, got a black dog (who is a hairy ball of happy) and to top it all off I LOVE long romantic rides on my broom. 20. How long have you been a member of this forum? 6 months I think?
  13. I think I'm not fearful enough. Sure, I've got some protection set up, but I usually trust on my ability to react to events instead of protecting myself. On the other hand, I doubt my abilities a lot. I always think I'm not powerful enough to do stuff.
  14. I have no idea why that would happen. I've had it happen to me before but that is a while ago and I still don't know what it's supposed to mean.
  15. You got: Red Aura Your aura is red. You thrive in exciting situations and are quick to fall in love and lust. Spontaneous, passionate, and energetic, you tend to follow your heart, even when it leads you to the wildest, untamed places. Though you occasionally act immature, you only mean to make yourself and others happy. You know, some of that might be true. Or most of it. It's what I feel like, inside.
