  1. Well of course... it's lovely bobbing along!
  2. Tana! I love it! No such antics on my trip although it was still great. Have just got back so wee bit knackered... did all the driving! But looking forward to downloading the pics! SK
  3. I love this forum... it has everything!! This weekend my family and I will be travelliing to see Stonehenge...my SO is thirty and this has always been his ambition! I'm looking forward to taking in the entire experience, from feeling the energy to spending some decent time with my family. Thanks for all the info this thread has provided!! SK
  4. My SO is really looking forward to it...I have yet to read DV and A&D....it's in my pile of books to be read, but keeps on being superseded by other books! I'll get there in the end... Saw the DV film and found it compelling, so I'm sure DV will be just as good. SK
  5. Congratulations, I will be getting a copy! SK
  6. Anything by Terry Pratchett has an element of magic in it somewhere, and a whole series on witches...really funny. I am currently reading the Wise Woman by Philippa Gregory, am enjoying it because it's set in Tudor times and Gregory's research is always fairly accurate and incorporated nicely into her fiction...However, it's pretty bizarre in some places to say the least! SK
  7. Pure satire!!! Stilll have the tears coming down my cheeks! SK
  8. Have been focussing on working with my energy lately, this looks a great exercise for me to try.. Thanks. SK
  9. Let us know what you decide and how you get on... SK

    Aura's

I am just the same...I get flickers just outside my peripheral vision of spirits/ghost/whateve you wanna call them... I also get vert strong deja vu, I once had it for a whole afternoon and found the experience disconcerting to say the least. I dream at least 5-6 times a week and have done so since I was a little girl, sometimes prophetically, sometimes I simply ain't sure and sometimes of dead relatives. I can often sense a bad'un, which is a great asset in my job, although my job sometimes blocks that sense when I am surrounded by cynical colleagues. I am currently training myself to work with my energy more effectively and to understand these bizarre occurrences! I've had them all my life and grown used to them, but would like to understand them better. I think that when I do then I can move onto seeing and interpreting auras. It's all there, just gotta work with it. That was totally off topic and I am really sorry for the ramblings...:cuckoo: :deadhorse: SK
  11. The search button is my friend!! I have an awful sore throat and trying to think up a remedy, all I could think of was lemon and honey, which while traditionally OK, I have a belter of a sore throat and really needed something with a kick! I'm now off to the kitchen...! I love this site! SK :witch_bounce:
  12. :happydance: Absolutely hilarious!! ROFL Cheered me up no end. Espesh as I am back to work tomorrow after two superb days with my sproglets. SK
  13. Fair play if that's what you wanna do...but in my job I see a lot of neighbour disputes that escalate from situations a lot less serious than yours...however, that said, would you mind if I put in another coupla option? Hell if you wanna hex, go right ahead, and if it makes you feel better, bonus...! But will a hex prevent further problems? There are a coupla options you can try, especially if male in the family seems reasonable. I don't know how you do it in the States but our police force have teams that deal with anti-social behaviour of this nature...anything like that in your area? You can try a restorative approach, which is a means of making wrongdoers see the impact of their actions on you, or you can try challenging the behaviour in a note, which you can drop through the door. As I say, I don't know how this kinda behaviour is dealt with in your neck of the woods, but are there other authorities that can help you to fix this and prevent it happening again? That's how I would go about it....and even then, if I was really wound up I would probably do the hex anyway!! :-) Sorry this doesn't really answer your question, but wanted to try and help anyway. Cheers, SK
  14. As you said yourself it is mainly bullshit and the clue is in the author's name! I generally tend to steer clear of books that are made of fluff and cotton wool! Early on I came across a book called 'Witchcraft for Dummies...' Absolutely hilarious...I mean it was clearly Wiccan with all this squit about blessings and may it harm none....etc... So not me! And from the sounds of it, so not you. That said, all books have something to offer, if only as an emergency replacement for toilet paper!! There are no 'how to' trad witchcraft books out there, but there are plenty of books that will offer info on witchcraft history, areas that I feel I would like to study. The problem is the more I read and research, the more I want to learn and do!!! Of course, if I ever need guidance and advice, I always come to TW. Chances are there is always a thread on whatever I need to know and if not, I ask and someone always offers up with help. Can't say fairer than that really!! SK
  15. Ooh am gonna try this. :party0016: Anjelwolf, thanks for the wonderful resource! Will definitely use it! SK
  16. This has been my experience too. Also, I often have unexplained bruises on my body...if I had a quid for the amount of times someone points to a bruise on my body and asks me where I got it from I'd be a billionaire. Often I don't even relise the bruises are there until someone points them out!! SK
  17. I dream 4 or 5 times a week and some have an obvious meaning, others mean nothing, some I'm not too sure about. I always marval at those dreams that tend to come true the next day though, don't think I'll ever get used to it. I also get really strong deja vu, the day before yesterday I spent a whole afternoon with deja vu, still don't fully understand it! SK
  18. Spring and Autumn, my most favourite times of year! :grouphug:
  19. Wise words but I will also add the need for discipline...you can't get those amazing things without putting the work in. I have an endless list of things I want to learn and do...
  20. Never happened to me before, what was the purpose of the spell? SK
  21. Accumulative intent...makes sense to me. I believe in the power of words, combined with intent, can only make your spell stronger. SK
  22. My two pennorth - I'm pretty inexperienced with working spells and found this thread really helpful. I have created a cleansing plate with lavender a white candle and white pebbles, my intent was to cleanse the house after bouts of sickness in the house. I put the plate on my kitchen windowsill with my herbs and propogating plants...the house feels cleaner and on topof that, the plants and herbs seem to be thriving!! A side effect? I am also practising strengthening how I focus, because that's a massive thing for me to perfect. I'm working on healing spells now, that's where my instinct lies. Hope this helps. SK
  23. Yeah I would agree with this...I'm still extremely novice on this, but I am getting there, almost within a whisper of what I am about to achieve. I wish I could find the time, space and peace to practice more, but when I do it's usually in the evening and I end up falling asleep!! SK
