  1. Haha, well, I do have anxiety as you saw in the other thread. Basically I go through phases of optimism and pessimism in the Craft, this one I think was one of my overly optimistic phases. Now that I re-read it again, I guess it is not such a bad message. I definitely do not agree any more about jumping in with both feet, though!
  2. One of the few things I have written I no longer agree with.
  3. The biggest difference is now I believe what I do, say, and think matters.
  4. I came here to suggest a book :P 'Letters From The Devil's Forest' by Robin Artisson. Most of my path until almost a year ago now is well-documented on TW. Since then I suppose plenty has happened. One thing I have discovered is that if I seek something, I will find it. Sometimes all that is necessary is to go with the flow. If you are being seriously called in a certain direction, it can really be as easy as floating down the river and allowing yourself to be carried there. Sometimes, too much control can cause a whirlpool that keeps us stuck in place. I find that putting my intent out to the universe (or whatever you want to call "It") is enough. RoseRed taught me that the most important of things can be accomplished just by sitting down and having a talk with the universe. Talking to a candle flame or the night sky, and explaining that you want to break through and get to the other side, can be immensely powerful. In all, I find there to be a difference between my spirituality and sorcery. I have found that practicing sorcery is useful only for getting better at sorcery - so "just practice" is not particularly useful for me in terms of spiritual breakthroughs.
  5. I think divination can be a powerful tool AND a waste of time. I acutely remember when I had a cold, but for some reason I was convinced that someone was hexing the dingleberries out of me. Instead of cozying up with some tea and nyquil I was on my floor reading spread after spread that confirmed my worst fears about this terrible woman who had hexed me (she is not, nor I believe ever has been, a magical user, although I admit the possibility of the evil eye exists). I think divination is good to gather information, but stops becoming useful when it turns you into an 'armchair witch'. Or, when you get caught up in absurd realities like I did. Otherwise I enjoy divination as a tool, although I read much less now than when I used to.
  6. I agree Nox. Everyone makes mistakes. But I am not sure it is possible to understand every single aspect of an issue. Rather I would hope to understand as much as I can. Although lately, I am of the 'act now, fix later' breed. Despite making this topic :P
  7. I ought to learn how to embiggen. Maybe I could get right up to normal size.
  8. I prefer not to speak too much on it publicly but I do not remember any sort of blood used on this board, and I created and discarded it well before that event.
  9. ...Good point, M. Thank you for saving me what was sure to be some trouble. I think I used it once but nothing came of it.
  10. Some time ago I decided to make a spirit board. I bought a wooden cutting board and painted on it. Then at one point when I decided to stop trying to be a witch I tossed it. My mom went through the garbage, stripped all the paint, and now we use it as a cutting board. I should take it back and give it another go...
  11. Of course I only know what I read here, but perhaps divination would help you figure out the root of this problem, or how to solve it. I find witches to often be excellent at projection, maybe this is a case of sending your emotions to others.
  12. I watched the entire first season, but the main character (Mary?) annoyed me so much. I get her character motivation but I feel like 90% of the time she was standing still with a stony face and had tears in her eyes. Like seriously, watch season 1 again and that is what she is doing almost all of the time. I think there is good potential there so I will be watching season 2 whenever I find the time for it.
  13. I finally get my witch card?? I'm so honored!
