  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
I have been practising since I was 14 years old and now I am 26!

My grandmother was psychic/fortune teller, my auntie is a practising hedgewitch and my Mother dabbles every now and again which I do tell her off for!

I have never bought into Wicca or any new age religion, I see this mainly as a money making machine and to be quite honest I am truly a secret witch. I never reveal that I am a witch, I don't wear t-shirts that tell the world I am a witch either. I understand witchcraft as almost a gift and it is something I have been aware of since I was a child, I just hadn't tuned into it until I was a teenager.

Like most children I had imaginary friends, i would say things in my head and hope they would happen only to find sometimes they would but maybe not in the way I intended. I tried past life rituals as a teenager and scared myself half to death when a black shadow crept along the walls of my bedroom but now I see things and I feel things and I embrace them.

I use a pendulum on a regular basis and am trying to use it much more.
  • Have you explored other paths?
When I was younger I was confused to what sort of "path" I should take. this is the thing with these books you buy, they confuse you and make you think you have to do this and that. One day I got so sick of it I just made my own things up and only now can I find really good books written about traditional witchcraft that expands my knowledge.
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
I do everyday. I talk to the birds, I grow herbs, make mixtures for coughs, salves, I mutter to myself on the way to work asking that I can cope (I have a hectic job), I perform little spells and make little bags for luck, I do lots of things really.
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
It is me. It runs through my veins. I cannot say it is a religion as such, it is just in-built in me just as my heart and my lungs are. I feel so in tune with everything around me, nature, spirits and the Lord and Lady. It means the world to me and to not have that would be like losing a limb.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
Since I was 14 really but before that I guess I was practising my own bit of witchcraft without giving it a label.
  • What brought you to our site?
I found it on Google, I wondered if there were any good forums as usually they are filled with airy fairy wiccans that don't understand the balance of the craft. It ends up being filled with rules and regulations, you cannot do this, you can't do that, it ends up with you thinking "what the hell can I do?".

For me the old saying "A witch that cannot hex cannot heal" sums it up for me.
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
I want to find friends, share my knowledge and take knowledge from other people, I love to commune with others like myself.
As a writer I can also get some ideas and opinions for my writing and inspiration.
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
    UK Pagan, the valley
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
Visualisation and my natural love for herbs and healing.
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
I can be at times rather low on energy due to my job, so I cannot always be at my best. This then leads onto being doubtful about what I have done which I often scorn myself for.

  3. Hello all, when performing a ritual or a spell I like to call to the spirits of loved ones that have passed on to help me on my way. I am interested to find out how others do it. Do you just simply ask? Do you have pieces of jewellery you use? photographs? Or do you not use them or use deities maybe? I would be interested to hear what you do and how you do it :witchbroom:
