  • How familiar are you with witchcraft?
I have collected books on the occult for many years. Originally for research on my fiction writing. A few years back I decided to try some loose ceremonial magic mixed with some other odds and end to cast a spell. It not only worked but ended up changing how I view the world. I drifted around . Got to know a few Wiccans and read a whole lot more. The Wiccan thing though most seem serious seemed to be a cross between "Charmed" and general fluff. So much for the Wicca thing. The past couple of years I have been reading and learning. By accident I wandered up on a piece of Traditional information. It seems to fit better than anything I have found. Time will tell.
  • Have you explored other paths?
I have touched upon ceremonial and even been invited to join a couple of Wicca covens here locally ,if I gave up the ceremonial aspects. The problem with both was they are as much if not more religion than I was seeking. Through personal experiences I have learned there is a field of energy out there beyond imagination. Through knowledge I have been seeking to access and use these same forces. I believe if you ring the allorgorical bell things will happen.
  • Have you ever worked with Traditional Witchcraft?
If I have it was without knowing what I was doing. But as I have been browsing today it appears to be the closest thing to that which I seek. Over the past three years I have been mixing native American with ceremonial and candle and whatever else I thought would work.
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
Hopefully an independent way of viewing the things around me and a way of improving life for friends and family. Because I am still seeking my answer will improve with time.
  • How long have you worked with witchcraft in general?
Witchcraft started in my life a long time before I knew what it was. At 15 my grandmother passed away but dropped in to visit me 70 miles away on her way to where ever. Shortly there after I started having precognitive dreams, they were always warnings and continue to be to this day. Around that same time I found myself sharing my space with a very large owl. He announced his presence in my life my circling me one day and landing on a limb about 5 feet from me and about three off the ground. He shows up often to this day. Often enought he has made believers out of some of my more skeptical friends. While researching a horror novel about three years ago. I tried some of what I was reading. The spell worked to my shock. I pulled in three witches with a summoning spell. One was nuts, one was nice, and one I even dated for a short while. Since then I have dabbled on and off for the past couple of years. I basically backed off the spellcasting so I could better learn the protection rituals that need to be in place.
  • What brought you to our site?
    internet browsing or fate
  • What do you expect to get from this site, and what do you expect to contribute to this forum?
I believe I can contribute knowledge both historical and modern. Along with a normally intelligent answer to questions and the ability and drive to research what I do not know.In the beginning I have no doubt I will have more questions than answers but with time that should improve.
  • Do you belong to any other online witchcraft sites?
Have been checking out Dark Magic and Solomonic Magic, both are Yahoo. Dark Magic is still a question mark but appears to be a friendly knowledge site. The Solonic site is way too deep into name pronunciation for my taste.
  • What are your strongest points in witchcraft?
Open minded and ability to learn. Plus I suspect when the doors to this world were opened they have never completely closed.
  • What are your weakest points in witchcraft?
Substituting modern equivalents to some things used in ancient magic. I also would like to learn how to keep the magic from influencing the dream state if that is possible otherwise I need to create a serious shield charm.
  1. Would casting a hex on your ex wife count as sharing?
  2. I have read this post with a serious fascination, it has been a good one. Thought I might throw in my two cents worth. I see light and dark as two intertwined cords not evil or good, just the potential for either. Take for example a growing plant, too much light will fry it and dry it out. Too much dark and it withers and falls. Excess either way is a killer. There has to be a balance for survival. I have yet to meet the good white witch of the south, such beings do exist in fairy tales and stories but in reality it takes a bit of both.
  3. Thank you Fagin's Girl. Today I stopped by the grave of a friend that was buried about two weeks ago. This was a first, never have I gone back to anyone's grave. I was more than a little bothered. Its like she worked, partied, raised her kids, was a very close friend..... And in the end what did she get, just a big shiny tombstone and a dirt plot. That really seemed fucked up!! For some reason I reached down and picked up a handful of the grave dirt and brought it home. I just put it in a container to keep it sealed. I thought I might use the dirt in ancestor calling(kind of spread it on the mantle when I do the spell). She would have both gotten a kick out of it and said it was creepy. There is a meaning in that dirt even though I know she wasn't there. I just was wondering if anyone has ever tried that approach. I will be adding the candle, a glass of wine, a bone, and the meditation and maybe a pic(the last I have not decided on.)
  4. You might want to check out this link on just that subject. Interesting enought to keep your attention..... http://www.crookedpath.org/oldshows.html Episode 19

One of the local parlors calls me when they want suspension pics and such done. Now if the nurses back then had looked like you instead of looking like escapees from a horror movie it probably would have been an entirely different story.LOL.
