  • Have you explored other paths?
I was raised southern baptist. Every Sunday I would sit in church and it would be hellfire/brimstone, how everyone who was not christian was doomed. I believed this dogma until i joined the military (been in 20+ years) and got out into the world and 'got me eyes opened' to other possibilities. There were good people who were all different nationalities and religions and they were going to hell because they weren't christian? In short I saw alot of hypocrisy and while I don't condemn christianity, I don't believe in it any longer.
I also started practicing martial arts around this time and was exposed to Taoism. So I eduacated myself on that way, felt a connection to it, and have called myself a Taoist ever since.
I am still a Taoist who has for the last two years been exposed to paganism and witchcraft. There is a whole lot I still don't know and have been educating myself ever since.
  • What does Traditional Witchcraft mean to you?
To me traditional witchcraft means embracing all aspects of the self and to not judge or condemn other people for what they believe.
That 'good' and 'bad' is based soley on a persons perception.
That there is a, for lack of a better term, rythm/oneness/synchronicity to the world and universe that, while we are all part of, society in general is becoming more and more un-aware of it.
Traditional witchcraft is a method of how we were part of and connected to that rythm/ onenss/ synchronicity in the first place.
Traditional witchcraft also means to be a realist.
That the world really isn't a nice place, and to not stick ones head on the sand and that to think that if one just believes in the light, everything will be okay. That sometimes one has to take matters into their own hands.
