Gums or Resins can be used in many ways in magick, as ingredients for incense for instance.

Benzoin resin - Prosperity, astral projection, purification
Copal Resin - Purification, cleansing
Dragons Blood Resin - Love, protection, exorcism, potency (also use to add power to spells or incense)
Frankincense resin - Protection, summoning, cleansing, spirituality
Gum Arabic (Acacia) - Protection, (also used as a binder in making incense)
Guar Gum - Devotion
Myrrh resin - Purification, healing, spirituality
Tragacanth Gum - Binding
