Watcher in the Woods

An old 1960s or 70s Disney movie with Bette Davis. A bit unusual for Disney as it's a bona fide ghost story not a "feel good happy singing" cartoon ghost story. Anyway, the hair, clothes and acting is all very 1960s but if you can deal with that it was a good story and kept you guessing until the end. It was in the $5.00 bin at WalMart. I particularly liked the happenings within the woods, and the "home" of the old weird guy who lived in it and how the movie did rather acknowledge spirits of place that aren't necessarily pure "nature" spirits, although how this particular one came to be stuck there was a bit hokey.

I loved this movie growing up. It's one of the DVDs that I actually still own (I own 6... LOL), but I guess I'm quite attached to the movie in some kind of sentimental way. Did you see the alternate ending? That almost kinda ruined the movie for me, but it was interesting.
