lavender cordial/squash

50/60 lavender flowers

Half pint water 4oz sugar

Put water/sugar in pan heat slowly till sugar dissolved add flowers bring to boil remove from heat then cover with a lid leave to infuse 4 about half hour

Strain into a another pan then bring back to boil keep stirring till it becomes syrup and reduced let it cool completely pour into bottle or jar keep in fridge

dilute with sparkling mineral water great on a hot summer day

I like this, I would think that this recipe could freeze nicely into ice-cubes as well as just a refreshing libation. Have you ever tried freezing this, Aurora ? Doing the recipe as you stated, but freezing the end result ?:thinking:

Hmmm, this is awesome. I just made some thyme syrup yesterday for a friend and was wondering what other herbs I could make syrup out of. Thanks.

Yes you can freeze it not done ice cubes, brilliant idea.

I have made it into a sorbet (sort of a slush not so runny)
