Our judicial court support workers give worry dolls to children who are called to testify. they have a pretty comprehensive court prep program for kids who are victims and witnesses. The worry dolls are given out by the court workers to children, and to adult witnesses they get a worry stone (often in rose quartz, interestingly) with the word "courage" embossed on it.

I love the worry doll useage. You can see the little ones playing with them and holding them and I think they really help them.

The police officers in my area give small, stuffed dolls to children, whose parents are having issues with the law. To my knowledge, however, the adults do not receive similar assistance. Perhaps, I will recommend it.

Thats a wonderful use of the worry dolls! My children love them. Last week we had to wake up our four and seven year-old at one o'clock in the morning to get in our closet because of a tornado warning. My little one asked to sleep with her worry dolls after the storm passed because she was freaked out (rightfully so), and I heard her talking to them for a few minutes before she fell back asleep.
