I rented this the other day, set back in the 1300's-1400's. Showed the abuse to Witches and the deception of priests. I enjoyed the whole movie, I'm a big Ron Perlman fan. I've enjoyed Mr. Perlman since he was the lead Caveman in Quest for Fire. lol ! And he makes an awful cute Hellboy. :whistling:

I enjoyed the movie too.

The first movie I remember him in was "City of Lost Children".

I've pretty much liked him in everything except, I hate to say, I don't like him in "Sons of Anarchy".

Watch it a few days ago. Thought it was a bit boring and predictable in the beginning, but improved greatly as the movie went on. I know a lot of folks do not care for Nicholas Cage, but I like his movies. They are usually just good old fashioned mindless fun. I mean if your expectations are not too high in the first place, and you just resolve to have a good time with something, you can tolerate almost anything. Worth a watch in my opinion.

Agree, I like Nicholas Cage movies too. Guess I'll have to look this one up, I hadn't heard of it until this post.

I watched it and enjoyed it. Always liked Nic Cage. I just felt a bit sad the girl turned out to

be posessed by a demon. I would have preferred her to be a cunning and manipulative Witch!!

I was interested to see you mention 'Quest for Fire' CG... I love that film. Use it in my teaching a lot too.

Sorry, I cannot watch Nick Cage movies and longer. I will admit though that he is a VERY good actor, in playing Nick Cage roles. He has no emotive delivery, no facial expressions and it totally boring. Some of the movies he plays in are good, that does not make him an actor, name recognition alone gets him his parts.

Shame, I think I may have enjoyed this movie otherwise.

I was mildly disappointed by the movie to be honest. It was too transparent there lacked the ambiguity, as my partner pointed out while watching it;

"She's guilty."

"How do you know?"

"Everyone else sounds a lot more american."

I did like this movie, wickedly fun. I like Nic Cage, like Christopher Walken - you know there isn't going to be much range but still fun to watch.

I must have misspelled the title when I searched for a thread before I started a new one sorry, you can combine them if that would be better. I like some of Nicks movies not all I loved the sorcerers apprentice just because it was a great family movie with the kids. I agree his movies are great mindless fun which sometimes is exactly what I'm looking for.
