CelticGypsy
The Sacred Bee in Ancient Times and Folklore by Hilda M. Ransome I haven't read it but I thought CG might like to, lol. Stumbled across the title on the net and thought of your post... if you get it let us know if it's any good! M You being a former ballarina did not stumble across this by accident. I've been reading it, as I ordered it after you posted this initially. No pun intended but it is a " honey of a read ". You may just want to read it as it has tons of information regarding " feeding the dieties honey " to invoke their assistance. Remember when you posted about Fairytales and Witchcraft, and spoke of this Frau Holle or Holde ? Well now..isn't this a kick up the old patoot, M. She's in this book also. " According to an old myth children were dipped into Holde's well ( The girl from your post, had to spin by the well, remember ? ) Frau Holde or Helle was the leader of the underground spirits. An Alsation myth represents her spring as a beautiful stone well lying in a meadow; out of it flowed milk instead of water, and round it bloomed great flowers which were full of honey, and with which the unborn children were quietened. The souls of the unborn are also connected with the name Heimchen the word for bees. " There is so much ancient information in this book, it's fascinating. How simple is the weaving together at times with the Craft.;) I wonder if Sir Elf, got his copy of this too.Regards,Gypsy
