Historical Dictionary of Witchcraft

Mountain Witch

Recommended Posts

Just finished this one. Author: Michael D. Bailey. ISBN 0-8108-4860-0. It's still available ($£$£) off Amazon but I got it for free off either Scribd or another free download site (can't remember).

This is for those of us geeks that like to do historical research. You'll have to pardon him - he equates all modern witchcraft with Wicca. Also bear in mind that it's written from a scholarly perspective. I looked up his bio and although witchcraft is something he's interested in, a witch he ain't - at least publicly. (If he were, I think some of the entries would have been worded differently.) But it's really handy for a 'who the hell?' or a wee bit of information on a somewhat familiar name or term.
