Drawing Angels for Sunday School!

Most of you know that I'm an amateur artist, and so anytime my family needs something drawn or painted they usually call me. Today I spent the afternoon with my Grandma (love her!) and she asked me to do colored pencil drawings of some angels, and to base them off the Biblical descriptions for her to use when she teaches her adult Sunday school class tomorrow. She wanted a 1 foot tall representation of the 6 winged seraphim mentioned in Isaiah 6:2, and (more difficult) the four-faced cheribum of Ezekiel 10:14. The verse describing the seraphim just says that it had 6 wings, but the 4 faced cheribum... the verse says that one face is the face of a man, the other is of an ox, other is a lion, and the fourth an eagle.

So I started trying to visualize how on earth to make these things look realistic to their description and achieved a very 'mild' trance as I worked on my drawings. Well... I hope no one in her Sunday School has any esoteric knowledge because the pictures appear to be a winged Lillith, and some kind of cross between Horus and Baphomet. LOL!!!!

Truthfully, that could be very well what the Bible was speaking of, as it is texts based on older texts of Mesopotamia and Egypt.

Apparently, everyone loved them! I'm really humbled, I was worried that they wouldn't go over so well...

RavenFlyer, next time I go to my Grandma's I'll see if I can make copies to scan in.
