Vermillion
After some reading up and review searching, I decided it was time for a few books to come my way. They are coming used from both the US and UK (through AbeBooks) and will arrive each on their own time. The one on Tarot is already processed and on the way first. Here they are, in no particular order: Title: The Tarot Handbook: Practical Applications of Anci Author: Angeles Arrien Book Price: US$ 1.00 Title: Instant Magick: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Spellcraft Author: Christopher Penczak Book Price: US$ 4.80 Title: Sacred Mask Sacred Dance Author: Chas S. Clifton Book Price: US$ 8.31 Title: The Way of Wyrd: Tales of an Anglo-Saxon Sorcerer Author: Brian Bates Book Price: US$ 1.00 Title: Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells: The Ultimate Author: Judika Illes Book Price: US$ 24.73 I have a few on my "when I have more cash" list, as well... but I think these will open enough doors and windows to keep me occupied for the time being. Oceana
Title: Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells: The Ultimate Author: Judika Illes Book Price: US$ 24.73 I just ordered that one as well not 2 weeks ago! Paid a whopping 4-something pounds including postage... love a bargain! It's not too bad for providing ideas, and I love that fact it's not riddled with long, rhyming incantations. I got two for a dollar, so it must even out in the end!

Aloe
I'll be interested to see what you think about Christopher Penzak, I've heard some really mixed reviews on his stuff but have never read any of his books myself.
Michele
Way of Wyrd was great - it's a novel (but very well researched) and is very fast reading. SMSD I thought was excellent. It mentions WIcca on the back cover, but don't let that put you off. When EJJ did several of his books back in 1996/7 trad craft wasn't recognized as it is now and many publishers promoted it as "Wicca" becuase that was acceptable to the general money-spending public. If you like SMSD I'd also suggest Roebuck in the Thicket which is an anthology of Robert Cochrane craft. And if you like that one then Tubelo's Green Fire which is a bunch of essays by Shani Oates who is current "Maid" of the Clan of Tubal Cain. It is a covine tradition, but most things can still be of great use/interest to the single witch, especially the insight into the invisible realm/s. Ancestral Celt
I really enjoyed "Way of Wyrd", too and am still hoping the movie makes it to the big screen. I found it inspiring.
