AnjelWolf
Greetings... My husband and I saw the movie "The Covenant" last weekend. While we both thought it made for an interesting storyline, I was alittle disappointed in it overall, because I felt that it sent a message that someone gets a "negative" kickback from using magick more and more (it corrupts them basically). One very interesting comment we overheard from the couple in the row behind us was "This is why wiccans will never use magick". Both my husband and myself kept our mouths quiet and tried to enjoy the movie. if anyone else has seen this movie...I would be interested in hearing your thoughts. Droghon
Have only seen the trailers for this film AnjelWolf, I'll probably rent it when it comes out here. LMAO at the comment you overheard :D
eagleheart75
I just rented and saw this movie last night. I would tend to agree with what Anjel said about the negativity of using magick ( I need to learn to use this spelling more lol) to often. I thought the movie was really good with the special effects and just the eerieness of the whole thing. One question that i thought of while watching this was ( and please forgive me if this seems a stupid question ) Are there any known old family stories such as this movie portrays? Now obviously ( well I assume obviously anyway haha ) Witches and or warlocks cant generate orbs of power like they did in the movie but is that the general idea behind focusing our thoughts and inner powers for the deeds we wish to accomplish? Ok so that was 2 questions so sue me lol.

Sandy
I havent seen the movie but yes a practised Witch or Healer can actually generate orbs of chaotic energy and send it to someone. You can charge the ball with whatever you wish but remember it will always be chaotic so you have to be careful when throwing them around. You make the energy ball in your hands, start by rubbing your palms together about 2 inches away from each other (not touching) and you should be able to "feel" a resistence forming. You then cup the energy with your hands continously moving your hands alternately as though you are moving a real ball. Charge it with your intention and the person and literally fling it :). I have had some real interesting results and have heard many stories :)
Guest PathWalker
*snicker* Not only that but I think that the entire movie was cute... especially with the hot guys in it! WHOA! But the whole negative kick-back thing was kinda disappointing, I felt sorry for the kids dad having to sacrifice his powers for his son to survive... geez, HARSH!
