I have lived in the aloha state, hawaii, and i learned of the legends. These legends are to be very much respected.i was gifted to experience so many of them. One i will share on are the nightmarchers.they come out once a month on the full moon and march around the islands, and mountains. These are lost spirits, and there eyes are huge and glow.not many can see them, but if you can, you must not look at them because if they see you looking you will be harmed.when i was experiencing things i did not know about or understand, i was taken to a hawaiian healer for help because things had become so heavy for me i was a bit scared. Once i was cleansed and told of my gifts, i immeaditly respected and knew how to handle all of the situations.this is just one of many experiences i have had. Godsgrace:d

I've dealt with people from all walks and lands, and let me tell you, Island magic is like nothing else.

I have the most respect for the islands and I watch my mouth around elders.

I have a couple stories of my own. Maybe I will share in time. *wink*

Interesting, a bit like the warnings in both the north of Europe and among the Arctic aboriginals of Canada about the northern lights - if you talk to them or whistle at them they will take you away. I'd love to hear more of what you learned, as I'm really interested in the commonalities of practices among all "aboriginal" groups.

Hawaii seems like such a beautiful place. That is very interesting! Are there any more Hawaiian legends you could share with us? x
