Pagan-related rather than witchy related, but I'm reading:

"Britain BC" by Francis Pryor;

"The Voyage of Bran" as translated by Keno Meyer; and

"Cunning Folk and Familiar Spirits: Shamanistic Visionary Traditions in Early Modern British Witchcraft and Magic" by Emma Wilby.

library.gifI flick between books. :sickwitch: When one gets boring, I move on to the next. Eventually, they are read.

These sound really interesing AC especially the last one. Where did you find them?

I"m not reading anything at the moment per se, well I am thumbing through a friends introductory package from the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids...and am not really getting into them at all. I do have an old Newfoundland Superstitions book I keep reading from time to time. If anyone's interested I'll type some stuff out and post..

The first book is from a television series that was aired in the UK. I will be reading the sequel, Britain AD next.

The second is a translation of OI texts from a long list provided to me that I am working my way through.

The last was one I found on an academic site relating to Cunningcraft, the link to which I posted in the newly formed links section. ;)

Just finished "Whitethorn Woods" by Maeve Binchy.

Currently reading "Dead Beat" by Jim Butcher (Book 7 of the Dresden Files).

Have a relatively small but healthy TBR pile still packed away in the other room (waiting for shelves to magically appear so they can spread out and take over the world-- erm, apartment) but can't remember what all is in there -- some reference/informational, but mostly novels.

I don't usually take on more than one book at a time, but I burn through them pretty quick. Library cards are our friends.

Magic for the aquarian age , a contemporary textbook of practical magical techniques by Marian Green.

I found it in a second hand shop and thought it might be funny..:omg2: it's not.

I'm currently looking through Be Here Now by Dr. Richard Alpert, Ph.D (It's pretty much Opium inspired epiphanies, and takes several times to get what he's saying). And overall, I think it's a good book as a look into a guy's journey to enlightenment.

Also, I'm flipping through Animal-Speak by Ted Andrews. :)
