RavenFlyer
So I have been doing research into new authors who, obviously by the adjective new I have not heard of or read anything by. I came across E.A. Koetting I ordered his book called Evoking Eternity. http://www.ixaxaar.com/eakoetting.html gives a brief description of his books. I was interested in getting Works of Darkness, but couldnt find it. So I purchased the Evoking Eternity. It sounds really interesting. If anyone has read anything by him or know anything else about his works or works associated with him it would be fascinating to discuss it. I look forward to telling you all more about the book. Guest Oakbuchanan
· Hidden Hidden Love his story about the girl he called on dear old Satan and his legions to destroy but not kill cause she blew him out.. Oh dear, but then he was only 16 but sadly still seems bitter... Of course sadly I was disappointed that his apparent meanness and lack of towing the line as far as evocationary taboo goes, stops at the love pool of deity becoming.. good luck to Him, but personally I think if someone is gonna paint themselves as some dark motherfucker they should be just that. Sadly I dont think He is,(at least not since He was 16) just a geezer who is playing a bit on the sensational to sell His wears.. Link to comment
Guest Grimr
His particular book "The Spider and the Green Butterfly" looks rather interesting and I say read everything; Good, Bad, and In-Between - however his works reminds me a bit of one Mr. Michael Ford. witchwood
I've had an e mail saying that the books have been sent out. They will probably get out of Finland ok as they are used to the snow and ice but when they land in London I guess they will come to a halt. Getting quite excited now as the Baneful magic book looks really promising.
RavenFlyer
I got Evoking Eternity about three days ago. I have only read the first 6 pages. Its ok so far. Not anything I haven't read. I am hoping it will get better. So far it is a little autobiographical
witchwood
My two books came through today. Not bad from Finland. Quicky than some of our local companies!! They look good. Well produced. The proof will be in the reading so that might take a while. I will put my thoughts on here once I've started reading them.
RavenFlyer
I just finished The Spider and the Green Butterfly. Its the book on Haitian Vodoun. It was a quick read. He covered some very interesting topics. I would say he gets a 4.5 stars out of 5 on this one. Some of the information was a little sparse in places, and he enjoys telling stories to get his point across. The only thing that distracts me when i am reading his books is his over fondness for the phrase the Black Magician. It's the Black Magician this and the Black Magician that. It gets old pretty quickly. But other than that I would say people who are interested in vodoun would more than likely enjoy reading the Spider and the Green Butterfly. I'm having that same issue reading Sybil Leek. She's constantly referring to "Black Magic". I just ordered E.A. Koetting's Questing After Visions, it'll be the first of his writing I've read. Aloe
I got my book today and started reading - I discovered something about myself though. lol I read the reviews on these books and the interview linked here and liked what E.A. had to say, but I never google imaged him so I was shocked when I saw his picture on the back of the book and realized that he's my age. My first thought was, "What the fuck!" But, just because I haven't progressed to a certain point at this age doesn't mean that he hasn't, so its ridiculous of me to feel that way. I'll be posting a review when I finish reading.
Cynimue
I party with this guy every six weeks (we Southern Utah Pagans have to stick together)! I haven't read his books yet, as it is really not my path, but I've asked him to teach us some stuff at our next gathering. He's really nice and down-to-earth! Aloe
I party with this guy every six weeks (we Southern Utah Pagans have to stick together)! I haven't read his books yet, as it is really not my path, but I've asked him to teach us some stuff at our next gathering. He's really nice and down-to-earth! How cool! I forgot to come back and do a review after I finished Questing After Visions. I really liked it! Its very practical and hands on. Poetry and layered mysteries are awesome, but sometimes its nice to have the meat without all the garnish. I'll be getting more of his work. His practices are mostly LHP and include a lot of demonic evocation, so anyone who's not into that probably wouldn't enjoy his writing.

Evergreen47
I've never taken the plunge of reading his books, but I've watched his online videos and have read much of what is on his website www.becomealivinggod.com and I find him supremely fascinating. I know Aloe had said she bought The Book of Azazel and I'm really interested to hear how it is. Evocation of demons is something that interests and scares me all at the same time. I don't think I'm there yet in my path.
