Trance-Portation

I just got this book and have only gone thru 3 chapters, but what a great book. As the title implies, it teaches you the fine points of trance work. Its not a book to rush thru as it has "lessons" that you practice until you feel comfortable.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to do trance work but is either afraid or not sure how to. I'm one who has done trance work but found it a tough road at times. Working with the lessons, its getting much easier and much more comfortable for me.

Trance-Portation Learning to Navigate the Inner World by Diana L. Paxson

And so far, not 1 mention of Wicca!!

It's true what they say, "when the student is ready, the teacher appears" I've been thinking about this lately, and wanted to get back into trance work. I've just ordered it from Amazon. Thank you so much Morgana. :)

Your welcome!! I re-read over the chapters I had already read and picked up a few pointers.

Whats good is in the first chapter, there are a series of questions to answer to see if you are ready!!!

I hope you both enjoy it as much as I am! Never hurts to learn old things in a new way!

I'm about 2 chapters short of finishing the book. It's definitely packed with good practical advice along with exercises presented at the end of each chapter to help the reader hone their trance skills. Like Morgana said, it starts out with a self-evaluation to help the reader figure out what they want to achieve with trance work. Then from there, each chapter builds upon the other to help you really understand each facet involved in achieving a trance state.

As of yet, I haven't done any of the exercises presented in the book, mainly due to time constraints, but instead wanted to read through the book first before putting the exercises into practice. So far so good though!
