Rowan's Light
Having been invaded earlier this week by a load of film crew lorries and horseboxes I've been on a detective hunt to find out what it's all about. And to cut a long story short (and bypass on how I got the info:wink: ) They are filming a sequel to the Wicker Man called The Wicker Tree. "Centering on a young American couple visiting a small town in Scotland to preach the word of Christianity. Things take a turn for the worst and the couple soon find out the small town in not what it seems" Dont know how big the budget is. The production office is local so probably a good Scottish film without huge special effects and probably loads of swearing:grin_witch: So keep an eye open for this oneMSN info Edited July 29, 2009 by Rowan's Light

AnjelWolf
Hhmmm...thanks for the heads up. Well at least Nicholas Cage won't be in this one LOL! fagins girl
I too don`t really like to see sequels or remakes of my favorite films, but if Christopher Lee thinks its going to be good enough then it will probably be a good storyline with great effects. I don`t think he would consider doing anything which could be a potential disaster. We will see! I will keep an open mind at the minute. xx
sue_ann
Hhmmm...thanks for the heads up. Well at least Nicholas Cage won't be in this one LOL! As much I lurv Nick Cage the remake of the original was awful, I look forward to seeing it but I always keep an open mind about sequels. Oh, and Nicks new movie Season Of The Witch looks pretty good. BlackRaven
Apparently renamed from "Cowboys for Christ" (the second of the trilogy from the original writer - the third being The Twilight of the Gods) probably to drum up familiarity of the name - who would know it was a sequel otherwise. Also, with Christ in the title it would probably get jumped on. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowboys_for_christ Website is supposed to be at http://www.cowboysforchrist.info/ but not working for me. Rowan's Light
Sorry been away:party0016: Yes it has been renamed I agree again for the money. I think it will be interesting to see how it turns out. I agree many sequels are utter crap so I hope this one can stand on it's own feet and not rely on the popularity of the wickerman. Branred
I think it is great news, can't wait for it.Directed by Hardy and hopefully not rewritten by anyone for mass appeal, should be good. Branred.
Grymdycche
I think it's neat that Christopher Lee will be in this, having been in the original-original. I saw it for the first time about 6 months ago, I have to admit, it was a very ... odd movie. Nice twist, they got me in the end.
