AnjelWolf
Police blotter sent in by 1lenp@webquest.com CAMP NAKAR, LUCENA CITY,PHILIPPINES On 131800June,1989 at Bantang, town of Caniwan,Burdeos Island, a two yearold baby identified as Viena Rosales was bitten and murdered by a suspectknown only as an old woman with long white hair touching the ground, whitecomplexion, four feet tall and with two three fourths inch long canine teeth The sister of the victim,2 year old Jeona Rosales saw her sister being takenout of her cradle and saw the suspect take the child into the grasslands.At8:30PM of the same day the childs body was found lying near a river bank. I cam across this (I got bored while waiting for my stomach to stop feeling as if I am going to hurtle at any given moment). I tried researching the name of this creature "Impakta" and only came up with a few descriptions of a woman with long white hair, long fangs and nails. Also that many view her to be some sort of a hawk perhaps???? To me, as i first read this...it kinda hit me as a banshee...though I don't know why, could be the ahir thing truthfully. Guest Landieth
LOL! Sounds a LOT like the haunting witch in Mexico too.. she is an old hag with empty eyes, long sharp claws and talons. She's seen watching over her chosen graveyards, and someone recently made a baloon of it gliding down the country side and taped it to the X-Files theme song. ROFL! at least.. it's thought to be a baloon. o.o LOL! It looks kinda creepy watching it again.. like someone frozen in a trance with a cane just floating by. And here it's on the Spanish news channel.
Mountain Witch
Based on what I've read (AC may be more knowledgeable than me in this regard), I don't think it's a Banshee. At least in the British Isles I think they're portents of death, not the cause of. It sounds more like a hag to me. But given that it was in the Philippines, their traditions could be different. But these 'witches' have been around for a while.

Certainly the ones I mentoined specify children as victims in a lot of cases. hmmm, time to get the pointy sam spade hat on

Anthony
The first thing I thought of when I read the description of this creature was the Russian Almasty which is similar to Bigfoot or Sasquatch. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the legends of the Almasty describe a creature who's hair reaches down to its feet, although it is usually described as being much bigger. If it is in-fact related to the Almasty or Sasquatch, the part of the world it is living in could have some bearing on its size, as it would have evolved to suit the conditions of its environment. Supposing the creature is in-fact real.

Guest Tiger Lady
The white hair and teeth reminds me of tails of banshees, just lacking the high pitch scream. this is definitely interesting, creepy, but interesting.
