When I was a sweet little girl

And I'd go to sleep

I'd see a man, standing in my doorway

Say, Brother, won't you let me be

No, no my child

I'm taking you away with me

Close, close your eyes

In the darkness you cannot see

When I was a sweet little child

I had visions visit in the night

They followed me down to the tunnels underground

I burrowed them all in my mind

Come, come my child

I'm taking you to be with your kind

Close, close your eyes

You never know what you won't

Never know what you might

Never know what you won't find

Caps- Yeeeeees Amon Amarth is awesome!! I got to see them live last year on a cold winter night.

Today, I've been digging through all the beautiful symbolism on David Bowie's Blackstar album and the videos that were released.

As I've heard so many others say today, I wasn't ready to wake up this morning to a world without Bowie, but he sure left a hell of a final opus for us fans.

Amon Amarth is one band I never got to see but wanted to, now that I live in Alaska the chances of me seeing any decent bands are slim to none.

I was just wondering whether these forums had a topic like this or not. So glad it popped up on top of the activity feed!

I'm listening to Darude - Sandstorm

She got a bull whip tongue

Feel that indecision

and a rambling heart

She drags a line of feet

like a piece of one that luggage

she cannot part

Don't try to fake her

with love that's not real

Remember the taker

Has no conscious to heal

There's a plague outside

falling dark and heavy

and she wants the blame

But every mistake

lie and misfortune

that has plagued her name

Don't try to fake her

with love that's not real

Remember the taker

Has no conscious to fear

She got an edge on you

she was born on fire

with a burning will

You better think it through

To steal her from the taker

is a worthless thrill

Don't try to fake her

with love that's not real

Remember the taker

Has no conscious to fear

Here is an old one, but I love it. My husband had introduced me to this singer from times gone by, Vladimir Vysotsky, and the song is about mountain climbing (and especially reminds me of info. I read/watched recently on the perils of climbing Mt Everest). I find it to be an inspirational song. The translated lyrics are on the screen.

There is a song called "Carry On" that came my way - not my usual kind of music but a friend sent me this video the other day. I think it is lovely. It's hard to contain all we are "listening to" in one post, but at this moment, it is this & I wanted to share with the forum.

Here are the lyrics:

Valiant swords
Are buried now
Gone like the howls
Of the warring crowd
Echoing an abstract sound
Tattered and torn
We roam this town
All the fear is broken now
We stand at the
Dawn of revolution

Heavy is the head
That wears the crown
Immortal is the debt
Of victory bound
Carry on
Kings and clowns
Must tumble down
Beating to the sounds of
The war drum clouds
Carry on

Fly again we will in time
The truth lit up
Transparent in the sunlight
Echoing an abstract sound
Tattered and torn
We roam this town
All the fear is broken now
We stand at the
Dawn of revolution

Fall away love
Fall away love
Fall, down down, fall

Part of the Khanty Bear Chant. I love the recording of this particular set because it doesn't have a Performance feel, but is more like something interesting your neighbor is doing out back this Friday. Lucky you if this is your neighbor!

Oh and if anybody can point me in the direction of more Bear Chant material, I'd be grateful.
