wolfjan1 23 Posted July 25, 2008 Isn't it ridiculous how legends can be bastardized and turned around to suit peoples' purposes? No, wait, isn't that done every day?

Don't be mistaken, I have known a few Christians that were Non-evangelistic and basically followed a kind and loving path. Those are the ones I admired. But, basically, I have problems with the ones who did and do the kinds of things mentioned in these links.

Brigid 51 Posted November 4, 2008 Excellent Link!!! What I find truly amazing when I read things like this is the fact that most Christian people will NEVER read these things and have absolutely NO idea regarding how their religion came to be, the cultures it's destroyed, all in the name of ruling the world. :cuckoo:
Guest dawnmedos Posted November 10, 2008 Did the stories make you scared when you were a child?Rebie no, i was very attracted to these white women, and i dreamed often as child about them, in my dreams i was dancing with them threw the forests and over lakes and rivers. Horne 65 Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) That wittewievenkuil (wise women's pit) in Barchem mentioned in the wikipedia article is an awesome place, It's in the east of my country, there's a picture of it on this website: http://barchem.straatinfo.nl/fotos/witte-wieven-kuil_763659/ Me and the heathen group I participate in use the wittewievenkuil as the site for one of our midwinter rituals, we raise a horn of mead and drink to the witte wieven, the ancestors, the spirits of the place, etc. and we toast and make wishes. We do offerings which we bury in a hole we dig in the soil of the pit. It's awesome to get there because first we have to climb the hill, and then we have to descend into the pit to reach the location. Holdasown 46 Posted April 4, 2018 So last night I took my tea, made an offering to Njorun and was hoping to get some other information but white women was all I dreamed about all night. The topic has come up in the Urglaawe facebook group with Holda being thought to be one. They tend to look at them like a whole group of goddess who work at helping the regions they are in. Nerthus and Holda were specifically mentioned in my dreams last night. So I search here come up with the topic. Just looking for fresh input. My mask for Holda is white with light blue accents and I have white and grey horse hair on it. I have to retool it so I think it's time I just get it done.
