I got it yesterday... and I've only thumbed through it... and WOW! It's got a lot of historical info... and a LOT of info on the old traditional witchy-type plants!

I'm looking forward to reading it thoroughly. It's worth the $20 I spent on it, most definitely! :flyaway:

I just got this book last week, I would have told you all sooner but I haven't been able to use the internet for quite sometime now. Regardless though, I've been reading this book each time I get a quiet moment and I love it. It reminds me a lot of a collage history book the way it's formatted. There's a ton of useful tidbits of info in it. Thanks to all of you for the recomendation.

It is amazing. I cannot put it down. I dont read from front to back so just pick it up and read the page that falls open. A must for anyone interested in the history of european witchcraft and the 'medicine' they made/took.

Gives some good back ground on the use of 'mind enhancing drugs' post.

I haven't checked this thread in a while, and was wondering if anyone ordered it yet and what they thought about it. Seems like it's getting a thumbs up from all who have it. I've been itching to order some new books lately and I think I will definitely go and order it today. I love history, so based on what everyone wrote, it sounds like it is a must have.

Is everyone still as happy with the book as they were when they first got it?

I ask because sometimes a book looks great until you really get into it - sometimes they hold up, sometimes it goes sour.

I put it on my Amazon wish list - herbology is something I got into recently as well. I just got Culpepers, and had Cunningham's books for some time now.

The more the merrier!

BTW, some great websites :

This book was recommended to me sometime ago by another Trad Crafter, it is well worth it! I have a hard time with most herbal books ("Henbane is poisonous and should not be used in magic....WTF!") but I enjoy reading this one time and time again.
