Nomads

This is one for the fans of the 80's feel. This little gem slipped under the radar I think mainly because no one knew what to make of it. It is a monster film? A Zombie film? Vampires? Hard to say ...

This wee gem is kind of a bit of all of the above that really resonates well with the practicing witches that have done extensive work in cities. We all know that there are the people you see in a city and then .. if you look long enough and well enough there are the also people that well aren't really there but well are and everyone can see them. This films is about a roving gang of them (headed by an ever lovely Adam Ant) and the anthropologist (played with Pierce Brosnan's usual aplomb).

The thing that really impressed me about this is that it is one of the very few times I have ever seen it addressed that as you start to investigate certain subjects, they start to notice you too and that sometimes there is a point at which one MUST decide to what world one wants to belong....

Ha ha had forgotten Adam Ant. Don't think he was skinny, I remember as a youngster thinking he filled his leather trousers rather nicely LOL. He made correction fluid a fashion accessory!!! Will track this film down Scott!

Now now now ... correct terminology if you please! He was a New Romantic! LOL

Actually my favourite thing about his is that he was dragged out of a fast food joint for waving a gun about. Hehhehehehe old and cranky ... still to follow on frm Marshy's statements I feel certain he mumbles somth about clumsy boots, peekaboo roots that people think so dashing ... but what's the point of robbery when nothing is worth taking! ahahhaha

But as I am fond of observing after the Divine Miss M - Ahhh what they hell do they care ... they're rich!

There is a bit of arunning gag I have had for years ... I keep wondering when the new bron shirt wearing Ronald McDonald will FINALLY get around to ;launching his McMisery Meal. It looks interesting enough, when you open it, it capsicum sprays you and when you are over that you realise that the food inside really DOES get smaller year after year ... and there is no toy ... just a ball of lint and a note saying "IOU whatever ..."

Mebbe that was what he ordered!:lmao:

In my youth I was famed for rocking up with two mates of mine and scaring the hell out of "All you can eat" places. We were (to put it politely) HUGE and would lumber in grinning. Begin eating and then announce loudly in unision: "NO - have not yet had ... ALL I CAN EAT!"

It was also always better when there were skinny's about cause then we'd discuss loudly how thoughtful it was for the management to provide complementary toothpicks .. or afters ... lol

Okay, I just wanted to put in a note. I know the movie Nomads. I liked it too. Yup, I saw it as well, I know it slipped by because it really wasn't neat and clean. I believe you had to pay attention  oh no, not pay attention.

So, see Scott, you were not the only one who saw it. :hugs:

The premise sounds familiar,a s well as Brosnan as an anthropologist, but I can't say if I've seen it or just visualize very well. Hmmm....
