Ok, so I'm old and I can't figure this out....maybe I should call it a dumb blonde moment......what is needed to download an mp3 file and how do I do it? I need a mp3 player dont I?!?!? Someone sent me an mp3 file and I can't load it to the laptap, so I'm figuring I need an mp3 hooked up. Can any one help????? :scared::brickwall::help:

Hi Morgana,

You need mp3 software on your pc/laptop in order to listen to mp3's, you don't necessarily need an mp3 player i.e. iPod, try google to find "free mp3 software". If the problem is not software then right click the file and then save as, to your desktop.

What operating system are you running?

 

If its a windows OS then you will have Windows media player built in, this plays music in various formats - mp3, WMA etc...

 

To save an mp3 (if your using windows), just right click on the link to the mp3 and press Save Target As. Make sure that it has .mp3 at the end of the file name and save it somewhere you can find it easy.

 

After its downloaded, just open it.
