John George Hohman's, Pow-wow's: or, Long Lost Friend

Hey all,

 

I found this book while searching online for Hoodoo information. This looks like a pretty good book and I am seriously thinking about buying it. It has a strong blend of American folk magick and German folk magick. Anyone else hear of this book?

Funny thing is before logging onto here I added this to my Amazon wishlist and then I stumbled upon your unanswered thread.

It has lots of good reviews. I'm wondering if it's online anywhere. I'm going to have to look around. Or if I can find it at the library I'd like to check it out.

I've looked for it for years... saw one once, on ebay I think but didn't have the $$ at the time. :(

Huh! I wonder if it was a different book or a hardcopy? It was a few years back, I might have the wrong book. *sigh* Well, that's good!

I think there is the original which is quite old (some one in the amazon review said his great grandmother had a copy!) and then there is the version they're selling on Amazon. I'm not sure what the difference is really. The sacred text copy seems good to me.
