Sugarplum Recipe

Grind up some dried fruits- apricots, peaches, figs, pears, apples, prunes (whatever ya got). Also grind with some walnuts or hazelnuts, a good pinch of lemon peel (fresh or candied). Quantity varies by how many of these little gems you want:)


Moisten 1/2 of the mixture with dark rum and the remainder with good quality brandy, enough to bind all ingredients together. Shape into small plums and roll in granulated sugar several times, repeating as the plums absorb the sugar. They will keep best in the refridgerator and mellow with time.


Dont give this confection to young children no matter what they've read in fairy tales:)
