Thanks Symbiot, I'm starting another one, it is going to be a Comet this time. I had to buy some more gold leaf, I ran out doing the last painting.

Once in a while we see the Northern Lights, they are fantastic. The entire sky seems to twist and turn, sometimes it is a bit unsettling and you feel like you are going to fall over.

This year, like last year, I like to torment myself with a task to improve myself. So this year I am attempting to paint an ATC sized painting a day.
That is a card measuring 2.5 ins by 3.5 ins. I have cut 15 of these cards out all ready, here are the first batch.
The first five were started last year.

I just went through this thread slowly and I really love your style. I haven't enjoyed seeing someone's work this much for ages!!

The two pieces that called to me were:

Kootenay Lake

The Gloaming

If I break faith with thee, may the skies fall upon me, the seas drown me, and the earth rise up and swallow me.

Thank you EarthMother, It is always nice to get feedback, "Kootenay Lake" is a local scene and "The Gloaming" was from my brain. Trying to capture the betwixt and between moment between day and night.

Thanks UnMasked, I'm kind of obsessed with horseshoes, I have tons of them. Lucky for me, people find them for me, but I am always looking for them in barns and second hand shops.

I admit that my plan to paint one picture a day is not happening. However, here are the next batch.
Warning!!! There is some nudity and vulgarity. So if you are sensitive, Don't look! It is life happening...

Sorry, I'm blurry! The Dryad couple has had a movable arm (branch) added, it is held on with a star brad. He was rather well endowed. I thought I would give him a Fig Leaf, so to speak.

Now that it is February, I am going to stop with the painting a day. They are taking more than a day to complete, but I did manage to do around 22 for them, some better than others, but that is the way it goes.
Here are the final ones.

Thanks, ThreeCircleTarot, the idea for the Finger came from a fellow Witch who was complaining about friends asking for a free tarot reading just because they were a friend. So he would draw out "The Finger" card for them.
The finger card was my response. I think we even declared that 2019 was the year of the finger. Fingers for everyone!

I recently finished a long term project. It is a Bison painted on Quartzite Rock that is about 3 feet long by 2 feet high. He is a big guy and will live outside.

I found it harder to stop my tiny painting a day project than I thought, so I did continue, and I found it freeing that I had not made it mandatory, it let me off the hook.
So they say that 30 days makes a habit, it turns out to be true. Here are a few more of my offerings. The last photo is of my metal tag painted Evil Eye protection disks. Made for Yule.
