I would like to see a more active forum! So, I propose a challenge.

Whoever posts once a day, every day, for the next entire moon cycle (new moon now, so the cycle will end on April 16 2018) gets a prize. If more participate, I will figure something else out for prizes, perhaps.

Acceptable contributions to competition include thoughtful posts as well as starting up new threads.

Your choices of prizes include either a small, hand bound book of your color choosing with a bookmark, or a custom watercolor painting from me of any subject you choose. I'll post measurements later.

If you plan to participate, post "IN!" below and I'll keep an eye on your activity for the next month and keep a running tally. The posts must genuinely contribute to the conversation, bumping threads doesn't count, and this challenge is of course open to Green Members and Seekers alike, however for the sake of equal visibility I ask that the competition be limited to the non-private sections.

Any questions, clarifications, or suggestions are welcome!

TL;DR

Rules:
-One post a day until the next new moon (April 16, 2018) to win the choice between a book or a larger painting. You can miss ONE DAY and still be considered for a smaller 3x3 painting (runner up winner)
-Post must be a quality, considered post. No one word replies, no bumping threads, Shout Box doesn't count as a post. The posts don't have to be novels, but they do have to genuinely contribute to conversation and show that you've put thought into the topic
- Starting a thread counts as a post
-Posts to be considered must be in areas of the forums which are visible to GREEN AND BLUE MEMBERS, so that everyone can observe fair judging
-Participants, as of 3/19/2018, are now closed

Good luck!

You don't have to be interesting, but at least post something that shows you've read the thread and considered the topic. So no "great post!" or "agreed!" or bumps, basically. It's not a competition in quality of posts, necessarily, more of something to stimulate activity. If you're genuinely giving it a go, I'll happily consider you as a participant.

Well I’ve got a road trip happening half way through this competition, so I’m not betting high on my chances of success, but I’ll give it a shot. Count me in.

The first time I came across it being called the “Hokey Cokey” was the Bill Bailey/Kraftwerk version. So now when I see “Hokey Cokey” all I can think of is straight faced German dudes doing the Hokey Pokey.

Not sure I can commit but I can try!

So ya, I am in.

I would say, anyone who has wanted to compete and posted here before this post is in the competition. Good luck!

I'll modify the rules slightly, because we're adults and things happen. If you manage to post every single day, you can choose between the book or a full size painting. If you miss one day, you can still compete for a smaller 3x3 inch painting. Does that sound fair? If so, I'll add it to the main post rules.
