Sisterhood of Night

This film is on Netflix and I was looking for brain candy so I thought I'd try it out. On the surface it seems to be another "The Craft" with pretty and striking-looking teenage girls having petty arguments. The film is based on a short story, and it's definitely not the most well crafted movie, especially in terms of character development, but the quality is fairly good, the acting isn't terrible and it was definitely enjoyable.

What I really enjoy about it (because there is a twist to this movie you may not expect) is that it's really more about the power of young girls and the power of secrets and the power of silence. All of these things combined with what's become typical for movie behavior toward people who appear to be participating in witchcraft in a small town really makes for an interesting commentary. In any case, I really love movies and can be fairly critical, so while this film may not be the most compelling, it's definitely worth a watch.

Oh this is strange. I watched this not a week ago. I agree with you but also its the power of fear that ran pretty strong throughout, and the power of trust. One of the mothers had to figure out if she should trust her daughter as one of their teachers tried to tell the the parents that they should do.

I just came across this film. I haven't watched it yet, but it looks kind of interesting. If it's free on Netflix, I might watch it.

Well, I managed to watch this last night on Netflix while the kids were sleeping. While I didn't find it very witchy, I did find it interesting how quickly it turned into something of "Salem Witch Hunt" scenario. I didn't think it was a bad movie at all. Not a great movie, but it was watchable and held my attention.
