RachelLizLear
Even though Mons isn't around any more, I just now found this post and am pretty grateful for it. I'm not dedicated to Her, but I do love me some primary source documents. I also have a fondness for the play King Lear, since Lear is my son's surname and the origins of the name Lear are pretty obscure. It's also a pretty rare name, as well. His grandfather, my (soon-to-be ex) husband's dad did a fuck-ton of research and found that Shakespeare's play King Lear was one of the first mentions of the name. However, spelling was not made uniform for several centuries after Shakespeare, so it makes the search much harder. Phaedra
Found this thread while searching for something unrelated. What a fantastic list for study! My thoughts have been repeatedly pulled in this direction lately, and this gives me so much to dig into and fill my head with. Bumping out of appreciation to the OP who is no longer around these parts, and also because I may not be the only one with a prickling interest in this area at the moment. Been on the hunt for The Rotting Goddess, but it's so hard to find an affordable copy of the thing! I'll also add one: Circle for Hecate Volume 1: History & Mythology by Sortia d'Este (2017) Edited May 19, 2018 by Phaedra
Onyx
I like to do the Sacred Rites to Hekate, This year they are on Tues May 29th, May. I have them all written out in my Grimoire. Although I will do a practice run while listening to Sorita d'Este on youtube first, just to make sure that I get the pronunciation correct.
