This long path either leads to, or away from
Various climes, people, places and different views
Tarry in one place too long and trouble ensues
Tainted contentment at home in the enemy's land
Too many tolls swiftly adding up to a staggering sum
Preferring to follow the sun under a clear blue sky
The more seasoned travelers will just pass on by
While some of the lost will occasionally stumble in
It's lonely fools and crafty spies who seek welcome

Standing out, those others of different ways
Having only the spirits in which to commune
Mother earth, father sky and grandmother moon
They have no concept of a friendly or enemy land
Caring less how friends and enemies spend their days
Whatever is clearly said or must eventually be done
A human soul becomes unsettled and away it will run
Through the sweetest dreams or horrific nightmares
In a false sense of comfort the sleeping body lays

Know thyself means this, that you get acquainted with what you know, and what you can do.- Menander
